I'm okay with that. It's kind of like putting it like this: Would you rather have a player or would you rather have a slightly older player doing exactly the same thing; nothing more nothing less but you get £12-odd million. I know what my answer would be
-
Hes just shit. He is a very very average player. He would bring nothing to our team. Neville is a better midfielder and Baines is better on set pieces, as is Gibson. He has nothing to offer us.
Pay money for a poor player like him, or have a player like Fernandes for free?
love it to happen
Neville is not better than adam that would get laughed at if you spoke to a neutral any non everton fan will agree neville is one of the worst midfielders to be playing in this league and we get him through games he didnt do nothing wrong against united fair enough but what did he do other than a few 5 yard sideward passes. he's slow, cant pass, cross or beat a man, no good in the air, whats he actally do steve because players are judged on how they have played over the years not on how long you have been captain, johhny should have been given it but he's another player moyes doesnt seem bothered about, who can argue that heitenga is better than hibbert rightback and better than neville in midfield but still moyes doesnt seem to want to play him.

Nice find Avin, four year deal sounds good to me as it means we will have him for a long period of time and if anyone wants to try and land him next season they'll have to pay us a pretty penny. I'm ecstatic over this move and I do believe within the next 24/48 hours he'll be seen in Royal Blue.
thats a typical everton board room/kenright thought that.
on topic would be a good signing imagine johnson on loan aswell
-
to sell johnny aswell would be a fucking joke we should be trying to get johnson in this deal because everyone does no were not going to spend a penny of it
-
if its not 20 then im not happy henderson was 20 and he is one of the worst young english midfielders playing today, better not be just paying bills either.
-
hibbert distin heitenga baines
naismith felli gibson pienaar
barkley
jelavic
maybe jags or coleman in for hibbert. neville shouldnt be starting games this season he couldnt run last season never mind a year on and that backtracking and hoofing it up has really got to stop we have good footballing players now, united are weak in the middle of midfield so if we get fellaini on the ball alot we could cause an upset.
-
at the end of the day we do not have enough money to get a better player than pienaar for the money we have. he walks back into are squad as one of the best players in the team, bartons a tit and ur defending him because you have a thing for pienaar its ok but you need to realise we would never have beaten some of the top teams in the league in the last few years without him.
-
hes no joey barton get over it now we would have had osman starting everygame if we hadnt signed him (not yet) osman is no 40 game a year player no matter how many backers on here he has rather give ross more gamesHe hadn't warranted Arteta wages, Arteta worked his way up to them. Whereas after Everton recovered Pienaar's career and paid him very well he slapped us in the face. He's an ungrateful selfish bastard.
On top of that he is old, and very unprofessional. Not saying a footballer shouldnt ever drink, but they shouldnt be up till 4am drinking during the season, and especially not behind a wheel... but its the little Pieman lets give him a hug and welcome him back like a grumpy teenager who'se ran away from home and just accepted back with open arms. Will you all support him when he's praying to God in a cell?
-
bargain hope we go in for him some of the top clubs wanted him before he went there but sadly cant see it and we need attacking players not more defenders we had 6 defenders on the pitch at times last season thats only down to moyes i suppose but its not on
-
5m would be a decent price for him and to be honest he had a "better" season last year but he was still weak in important area's. Dont know if any others watched highlights and shouted at the TV "for F*** sake, why didnt you head that away" i know i spent many times last season wandering why he wont head a ball while facing his own nets. Yes its dangerous, but if you let it go past you and they score in anycase then surely its worth the risk.
Hes a good player but not one that we couldnt easily replace, even with what we already have.
And sorry for saying this, but hes level with Jags as far as ability goe's, just jags will more likey put the effort and guts in.
Jags goes into tackles he has no right to win, same with headers.
Heigts goes in hard to tackles he should win....and only heads balls that he knows he will win.
you mug jags is nothing on heitinga should be captain as well nevermind sold
-
Ive heard ten million to intermilan they have just sold lucio but could be bullshit rather baines went than fellaini or johnny but baines has been a top player for us
-
wish he would just hurry up and fuck off and i cant think of another way of saying it always made an error and cost us alot of points not only that havent ever heard him thanking the club or the fans for his time before he left either.
-
Yeah I was a bit dissapointed with his preformances.
John Lundstram however looked superb against Greece
Went to school with him he has improved alot now but to say he will play in midfield for us in the next 5 years cant see it if im honest
Most people probably want naismith behind jelevic but i want to see ross play a few games there, hes got that killer pass when anyone shows a bit of movement but its probably unrealistic given moyes doesnt like flair players and if he does he trys to change the way they play.
I think he might benefit from some time with Fellaini myself, if you remember when he first joined he used to give the ball away an awful lot and over the last couple of seasons has stopped all that and is much better. At the same time it's clear that Barkley has skill and ability that members of the first team don't have, he is always looking for the pass forward like Xavi and he will get stuck in like Gerrard he just needs to pick his passes a bit better.
agree

Sharp on Owen. http://www.talksport...-everton-17664?
Graeme Sharp has admitted Michael Owen would be a welcome addition to the ranks ahead of the new season.
Former Liverpool striker Owen has been a free agent since being released from Manchester United at the end of the season.
The ex-England international has admitted he is keen to stay in the Premier League withWest Brom and Stoke also reportedly interested in his services.
And Sharp reckons Owen could be the perfect back-up for the Toffee first-choice striker Nikica Jelavic
Up front is somewhere Everton need to look to strengthen,” he told talkSPORT. If Jelavic got injured we would be really light up top for a goalscorer.
That was the problem last year at the beginning of the season, we couldn't score. Jelavic addressed that problem but we need back-up and that is why the name of Michael Owen has come up in conversations.
will he just go to stoke so we dont look anymore a laughing stock we have no pace in this team whatsoever distin is probably our quickest player and he's in his 30's come on everton think
-
he's into horses more than football now be suprised if anyone would have him if it cost us nothing in wages he's far past even coming on in a premier league game.
-
this thread/rumour was complete bull
I'd have Owen here in a flash, he's proven that he can score goals from anywhere and can providing that he can stay fit he'll be a really good addition to the team. On a free and pay-as-you-play deal is what it would have to be to be a good deal but I can see that being realistic.
-
-
one of the only players we are supposidly after who id take, better than phil and tony but he's never going to replace them with moyes choosing the team so i dont mind either way.
-
does he have pace thats one question and im assuming the answer is no but good luck to him he's going to need it infront of neville or hibbert
-
another shite player were linked with
-
We're meant to be trying to keep the wage bill down for players that we need. I can't belive some of the players we go in for. We need better than we already have, not old and slow, and a cheap coach in the future. Get your heads sorted! He's shite, David Weir's got just as much left as him. Euros or not, it's a discrace that we have to look at players of this ability. Our squad already has no pace whatsoever.
-
not going to happen, for some reason Moyes likes him...
are you joking thats why he's been kicking off ever since he first played because moyes hasnt ever give him a run of games moyes himself would sort the deal out for that kind of money 7/8 million would be great business 10 just isnt going to happen tho.
-
Thats all down to interpretation of his comments, i agree with Matt in that he will be happy wither way go or stay.
i just dont think kenright or the board have any ambition to build a team or improve its always money sell then loan a player for a year to make people forget, ill be discusted if we cant find enough money for pienaar without him we would never have finished above the shite and we cant afford a few million for a player who really does influence the team whatever certain people trhink this 6 million figure is alot more than i think they would accept they dont need him and he's in his 30s off topic i need to stop this
-
another young player we dont need hope its bullshit because we need to be spending our money on pienaar or another striker. shows how much money we really do have. lets just wait to see who goes because if anyone thinks kenright is going to give us money we havent made ourselves they havent a clue no wonder fellaini said he would be willing to leave our club has no ambition
fav player we had on loan/short term contract etc

was suprised to see his name thought I was the only one, still think other than fellaini he's the most talented midfielder weve had in a decade something must have went wrong to be looking for a club at the prime ages of your career, dont think moyes liked his attacking style of play bit like drenthe.
