thing that gets me is that you calling yakubu fat! i was jus wondering if you have actually seen adriano in the last few years?? but if your going to say that they are both jus as bad in wieght, my other argument would be at least yakubu has been scoring in the last few years!! jus shows how good adriano is when they let him finish the italian league early this year cas he hadnt scored for somethin of about 4-5 months! AJ will do most of the runnin and you never know maybe the hard workin aspect is something moyes can add to his game!!!!

i agree. by whats being said course they want him to go valencia. they are still retaing some of the rights to him. so if he moves on, signs a new contract they get money. ppl need to realise it was all agreed verbally to the deal being completed so oviously manny was happy. they can literally say where he goes. its stupid but it happens its a wion win for him plays CL footy and his owners still retain some of his rights. they dont care where he goes aslong as the deal is right for him. and of course he's better than what we've got. and i personally think a year or so time at us playing week in week out he'd of been jus as or more vital then arteta! Its the only problem i'm having with signing yakubu. there is alot of rumours around that nigerians lie about there age. its like martins is suppose to be 21 but babayaro said he was in the same youth team as him, and babyaro is alot older than that. and i was reading that kanu's age makes him older than nigeria! don't take me on this but a mate said he was readin that yakubu is believed to 28 not 24 is any1 else aware of this? would you still sign him if they found out he was 28?

Yes i agree, you could say all the new signings cas of thier age will help us in the long term. but i have gone for baines cas i think it will finally let lescott get back into his preferd position and his best position and we'll benifit from having a good attacking full back. (on the right side hibbert is shocking going forward!) jus with arteta and ossie we lack abit of width at times.

I cant wait for him to sign, my dad's jus been past Goodison and he saw yakubu and his wife outside! he has a good goal scorin record and that. but u have to think of the type of players he's being playing with. they dont have a players in arteta, manny (when he signs), osman and a hard workin AJ to have supplyin him! i think with every1 injury free this could be a big season for us. jus could have done with these players in earlier so they could have had pre-season to gel!

Me personally would have manny due to his prem experience, i know he didnt play many games. but i think it was enough to show case his skills. plus at his age moyes could mould him into the type of player he likes who will do everything in the midfield. (not jus moments of brilliance) if he'd played more i think we would have seen the best of him! I think Gonzalez is a risk but i'm no doubting his ability! and wouldnt be dissapointed if we signed him!! for me manny impressed and took the strain off arteta right at the end of season. plus with manny considering his age and talent we could have a player for years and who's price would keep rising and if it came down to it there would be more of a chance making profit or gettin are money back than what we've payed out.

i think benni is no chance. but seen as baines has no injury and should have been playing for wigan in thier friendly at the same time. maybe just for once we haven't messed about and just given them what they've asked for.

Hey new to the forum so you'll have to bare with me.... I was also thinking the same at the start, but listening and reading everything that is coming out of everton. I agree that we probably only have around the 10 mill max that has been said by many. which i thinks a joke with the money thats coming in to the game. i honestly think some of this money is going to the stadium, even thou they are sayin that tesco are offering alot of money upfront. me personally would like to know where all the money thats coming in has gone to, if moyes only has 10 mill to spend
