Must be something in this one as it is in a few of the papers and all over the t'internet.

Never seen him play so dont know what he is like but like the idea of bringing in good young players

Get Manny back on loan with a proper 1st option to buy agreed and get Vogel in as well for Free. We would immediately have strengthened our midfield. I think we may still need another striker if McFadden goes as he def is going too. I wouldn't mind Ezequerro from Barca or even spend some of the McFadden money on Nugent as he has been showing signs of improvement and given time will come good. He would be another young option for us up front and is a different type of striker to Yak, AJ, Victor and Vaughaney.

 

Pls offload VDM as well ! Waste of Money.

Thats a good point, Pienaar for 2 million would slot in on one of the wings easy and if we did get the 15 million to spend I dont think it would be that hard to find a replacement.

Well personally Ithink this would be a nightmare, and I cant think of any player anywhere in the world who could replace Arteta and who would be available for £15M

None of are midfielders are classed as 'World Class' tbh, Arteta may seem it to us as we watch him week in week out and he's one of the better players in the team, but wouldnt a 'World class' player be in his countrys Squad? Was Pienaar a world class player when he joined us onloan?..... no, but look at him now, its not about buying a 'world class player, but making one.

 

And if you can buy a 'World class' player for 3 million let me know and i will break into myes' house and leave the players name on his fridge!

I never claimed that any of our current midfielders was world class and I certainly never said you could get a world class player for £3M.

The point I was trying to make was that we already have a good midfield and I was hoping we would sign a world class plater to take us on to the next step

The performance was very typical of Gravesens performances for Everton, he didnt do a great deal right or wrong, just ran around with his chest out

 

Dont judge people on one performance. If we did that half/most of our team would be sacked

HE IS A MAKE WAY, and Im sure moyes has his eyes on a quality young midfielder

I can't see any of the top four going for him and if he wants a move to england then we would be one of the obvious choices, we are one of the "bigger" clubs in the prem now. We're top 6, latter stages of eufa, quater-finals of carling cup... ooo heady times

I dont know whether you play football or not but if you do you will know that you need regular football to get your sharpness back and to get match fit until you get that you will not be at your best

He was asked what it was all about on soccer am last Saturday and he told them he couldnt reveal the reason why just yet!

IMHO I dont think he has been given a proper chance, I think he needs a decent run of games but anyway thats not the point I was trying to make.

I really wouldn't mind McFadden leaving. Tbh he wouldn't make the bench for me and his attitude is awful. Especially in the Zenit game, moaning, complaining and wouldn't shake any team mates hand when he was brought off. I think he expects a starting place but will never ever get one with 4 other quality strikers.

Couldnt disagree with you more about his attitude . he has been hailed as a national hero back up in Jockland yet has never really been given a chance at Everton and he has never complained once. He has every right to feel a little frustrated but most players these days would have been banging on the managers door demanding a move months ago

I think there is still more to come from him and think he is a good option to bring on from the bench and so would be sad to see him go

Apparently (according to the Independent) Matthew Taylor has bee told he can leave Portsmouth...worth a go?

Not for me he is an average player who gets the odd good goal but I cant see where he would get into our team. I would prefer to save the dosh for players who could improve our side

Everton will complete the signings of Juan Roman Riquelme, Justin Hoyte and Manuel Fernandes in January. Riquelme will come in on loan with a view to a permanant move, Hoyte will come in for £2 million and Fernandes, who is out of favour with Ronald Koeman because they did not get on when Koeman was at Benfica, will come in for £10 million.

Reading are hoping to complete the signing of Victor Anichebe from Everton in January for a fee of £1 million + Leroy Lita, who is now backup to the first team. They are also hoping to sign Gary Cahill for £3.5 million, Lee Cattermole for £5 million and Michael Kightly for £2.5 million.

You've hit the nail on the head blue4ever Yakubu has no service from the midfield hes not like Johnson who can create goals by himself.

I would have Ezquerro I think he is experienced and no's how to put the ball in the back of the net maybe a good coach for Vahgun and Anicehbe.

Agreed we are not creating enough chances but Yak shouldnt need a creative midfielder behind him to make him break into a sweat every now and again.

I dont blame him though , everyone, well most people anyway knew he was a lazy git that can score goals before we parted with £11M for him

We thoroughly deserved the victory and if we had pressed on instead of sitting on the 1-0 lead i reckon we could have got a bag full We were comfortable at 1-0 in first half. They probably deserved to equalise but then we stepped up a gear and should have won by more
