  1. Why city fans consider themselves anythink like Everton is beyond me. We're the 4th most successful team in England hardly in a shadow in comparison to our neighbours except for news coverage really. Come back when your team has actually contributed to the game, Everton have football legends, trophies and as well as led many innovations, city will never aspire to be such a great club.

  2. "essien, lampard, gerrard, de Jong, nasri, fabergas, fletcher, scholes, silva, van der vart, bale, toure, nani, Parker, Johnson, vaugn, maluda, Barton.... The list goes on"

"With out a doubt de Jong Johnson and defo silver without a doubt!"

man city fan namin players better than fellaini and then called me 'dissillusional'

  3. We were by far the better team in this game; the midfield, all of them, were on it and took control of the game, our striker lead the line perfectly and was simply awesome. But our defence let us down badly. All three of Blackpool's goals could have been prevented and aside from those goals the defence were actually looking good, so I'm not sure what the hell they were thinking for the goals, but they were shocking goals to concede.

At 3-2 down I thought the best we could hope for would have been a draw but the players showed the bottle and heart that has been missing from the side for much of the season. Those last 15 or so minutes were a real joy to watch. We got three goals with some wonderful play and then we pretty much just controlled the last few minutes with little fuss.

We have to win our next few games now or this victory will have been for nothing. We've been far too inconsistent this season, a good run is what we need and we'll be flying up the table.

Howard - I think he should have done better for their first tbh, because it was at his near post, but he had a decent game with not much to do.

Neville - Actually looked like he wanted to play for us today, which he hasn't looked like for a while. So that was nice to see. His defensive play was much better than it has been as well, even if he did make some mistakes.

Heitinga - I thought he was having an excellent game and then he had to go and spoil it by acting like a shithouse with that "challenge" for the ball that lead to us conceding for a second time.

Distin - The same as Heitinga really. He was having a brilliant game and then he messes up for their third goal by trying to be too clever with the ball on the edge of their box, and then I felt he should have taken their man out as he was on his way towards our goal but he just ran with him instead.

Baines - Great going forward (as ever), never stopped getting up and down the flank, and he was doing OK defensively but I think he probably should have done better for their third goal because it was his side of the pitch.

Coleman - Plenty of effort but really there wasn't much at the end of the effort. He annoyed me because there were many times when he should have hit the cross first time but wanted to try and beat the man. He's got to work on his decision making for sure.

Arteta - Oh Arteta, how I've missed you, welcome back! He was taking players on, running through the heart of their midfield, putting tackles in, not letting the opposition bully him off the ball, picking harder, tighter options rather than the easy option and he made things happen for us. His free kicks were much better (apart from his attempt on goal) and his corners were brilliant too, they had pace on them; none of that floaty shit.

Fellaini - £15million is looking like a right steal now. As others have said, he is the best midfielder in the league at the moment, without a doubt. He dominated today, but he didn't do it in an aggressive way, he just floated about the pitch with ease and stopped attack after attack. Fellaini the destroyer.

Bilyaletdinov - I'm so pleased that he put in a performance like that today, and hopefully it'll go some way to showing that he can be a qaulity player for us. He linked up well with the rest of the midfield and Saha, his quick, one touch passing was lovely to see. I do wish he would actually take people on down the wing but whenever he came infield he was much more willing to do that.

Rodwell - Superb game from Rodwell. He gave us drive and so much energy upfield. It was a proper box to box midfielder performance, something we've been hoping Rodwell could be for us. His passing was flawless (I can't remember him giving the ball away often, if at all?), and his link up play with everyone brilliant. He didn't drift in and out of the game like he usually does, he was always there. That's the best I can remember him playing for a long time and surely that means he keeps his spot and Cahill has to spend another game on the bench?

Saha - He looked totally different player. He was alive and running round like a spring chicken, rather than an OAP that couldn't be arsed like he has done for most of the season. He was asolutely awesome, and like I said in the MOTM thread, I'd have given him my MOTM vote even without the goals. His all round play was qaulity - he linked up well, he held the ball up pretty much every time, he won so many headers, he ran at players. It was a great lone striker performance, and topped it off with 4 goals (should have been 5). Well done Louis.

    the king has returned

  4. I think the Premier League has a dedicated team to stop people using material copyrighted by the league or by the clubs. The club badge is one of the only tangible things that a club can trademark to mark its goods and merchandise. If a trademark becomes a generic trademark through widespread, unobstructed use then a court could rule anyone could print the badge onto a t-shirt and sell it.

This is actually a really important issue for clubs. For example, all you have to do is look HERE and see an example of the kind of problems this could cause.

What an absolute c*nt that man is. He even acknowledges Moyes for coining the phrase. Calls himself an evertonian, he's a fuckin joker!

  5. After watching the game again today i made a few observations, I think a lot of Neville because of his attitude and leadership, but like said last week i noticed once again that he deserted his post on so many occasions leaving Coleman to do the work of two men far too often.

A few times Coleman was shouting at Neville to go and mark his winger, Neville was infield alongside Heitinga. High praise for Coleman for the work he was having to do.

Noticed Bily giving the ball away more times than he held on to it, even when he did, nothing became of it. Moyes must give Gueye a chance sometime soon, sits on the Bench every week and doesn't even get five minutes.

Any talk of Rodwell becoming a centre half will not materialise while he has a hole in his arse, he cant head a ball.

Arteta has shown no improvement even when playing further upfield, I'm convinced he will ask to go in the summer, his heart is no longer in it.

Unless we get some new players in the summer i can also see a few others leaving because they are never going to see their ambitions fulfilled while they are here.

Fellaini is top man this season, Baines and Coleman are close behind.

PS ... Saha's goal was Valid, if that had been a shot on goal and it was deflected into the net it would have been given as a Own goal because the defender had played it last.

The last player to play the ball was a Defender, no offside.

IMO, (just to start a discussion). ;)

If that was the other end of the pitch we'd all be crying offside. It was definitely offside according to the old rule, whereas the new rule has too much leeway, so that theres more goals and less hassle of the ref when he gets the decision right/wrong

  6. Didn't know where else to put this rather than starting a new topic. Moyes has cut a forlorn figure in the past couple of weeks and I have little doubt that he will walk come the end of the season (if fresh investment isn't found). Does anybody know the odds on this as i wouldn't mind putting a few bob on it, unfortunately. To be honest, i wouldnt blame him either. I think he deserves a pop at having money, if he does go and walks into another team, we can wave goodbye to a large amount of our squad. I think, Felli, Howard, Baines, Rodwell and a few others would be subject to a bid.

All ifs buts and maybes of course.

imo we should sell rodwell like we did rooney, and rebuild the team with the funding. He's been dire and we have more than enough to cover that position. No.1 priority in the summer must be keepin hold of fellaini and its worth sacrificing rodwell to do so

  7. He's not very good analyst himself with the example of drogba, and there no need to be a man on the post, as chelsea tend to leave cole next to the post. If he means u don't need both posts covered, it would make more sense. Otherwise he's just counter-chatting shit.

EDIT: sorry posted in the wrong thread, was meant to be in the secret reporter

  8. I know that you guys are joking, but I honestly believe that Messi would be destroyed in the prem.

Had this discussion in uni yesterday, and most of us agreed he would not get half as many goals and would struggle against the better defences in the prem that would jus put him on his weaker foot. He may be v.quick footed but is his movement can be v.predictable. Should never of won the ballon D'or. Iniesta, Xavi, Robben or Sneijder all more deserving

  9. Its not a laughing matter this in my opinion, MOTD need to sort themselves out, if you look at the list actually some of our matches were decent games, ie Arsenal, Aston Villa, defintely a vendetta against us, because it happens season after season, and i remember watching once, and everton were on last and alan hansen said live on air, it was gary linekers fault. Hes a bell end him....

Anyone else hear how this former centre half described teves' goal against wolves as world class!? Possibly the worst defending i have ever seen, Teves literally strolls past them with out a half decent attempt of a foot in from the defenders as they jus slide around him. Seen the goal and was expectin some harsh words about the less than school boy defendin and the kopite twat gives in to the mainstream media bias to big up any piece of shite that comes out of media favourites

  10. Just watched little fockers!! Made me laugh lol

Shane Duffy deserves a game for this alone

  11. I agree. Everyone knows that Liverpool was the European Capitol of Culture in 06/07, right?

Apologies didn't mean to take anything away from liverpool, didn't mention here cos he's obviously visiting for the game and assumed sight seeing etc. just wouldn't want anybody to come to the UK and waste there time (and money) in London.

  12. peteo are you serious slaggin liverpool like that do you even live here....tm take no notice to peteo he must be under the influence of some type of lotion or drug there is nothing wrong with our city it compares to anywhere in the uk if not better, the city is full of tourists lots of them norwegian but thats another story.

    Am on about London.

  13. Well that depends on what month I travel - if i can get tickets to one of the May matches (City or Chelsea), then the wife would like to come as well and we'd visit London as well. If May (being warmer) is not possible, then Id travel be myself just to watch a match!

I've been to GP 3 or 4 times at this point and am feeling brave enough to perhaps sit in the Gwladys Street end - normally I sit in the Bullens...

    tm

dont bother with this over rated city, beggars everywhere and the city jus stinks of rotten people and pollution. Wales, devon or the lake district is much better suited for a couple.
