  1. Quite annoyed by that result - as peteO said further up, we should really still be second, cos that's 4 points we've now been done out of by piss poor refereeing/linesmaning(?).

It's not like they were even tight decisions - Kone was clearly offside for his goal, we should easily have had at least one more pen today (Caldwells barge & figueroa kicking Jellys foot as he was shooting were both stonewall imo), and the two disallowed goals in the Newcastle match were obvious to everyone except the officials too! shaking fist.png

  2. Unfortunately I dont really fancy our chances tonight. I wouldnt base anything on last seasons game at Goodison considering how poor Newcastle were that day. Tiote will be a miss, but they have that Anita to take his place and he is supposed to be a very good player, so I doubt that will weaken them much.

I read a few days ago that he might play at right back as Simpson is out. If not, hopefully Gosling will get a run out there laugh.png

I personally don't really rate Newcastle, I think they massively overachieved last season and won't get anywhere near that this year, Pardew is a twat, we almost always beat them at Goodison, and they have 4 key players missing (one of which being Krul, meaning Harper playing, who is terrible imo), so I am very confident in an Everton victory tonight!

  3. I'd like to see this on Monday night....:

    Howard

    Hibbert Jags Heitinga Baines

    Felli Osman

    Naismith Mirallas Pienaar

    Jelavic

....although in reality it'll probably be Neville with Felli in the centre & Osman further forward with Mirallas on the bench, unless Hibbo is still out & Nev drops to RB, and Distan in for Johnny.

    I'm gonna say 2-0, Jelavic & a Baines pen.

  4. Fifa is a big joke and this whole case has been a disgrace. I think Fifa should fire the people responsible for this immense delay. I'm not exaggerating. The damage is big and Fifa's chances on a good reputation are definitively gone.

I think FIFA's good reputation (if it ever had one) definitively died the day they decided to have a world cup in Quatar.

  5. I'd personally like to see a full on wage cap introduced. If clubs were only allowed to pay, say, £20k a week max per player, it would level the playing field & stop clubs like City buying the title as the best players would hopefully be spread among teams more evenly, plus if they had to pay a lot less of their income towards wages, clubs would be able to bring ticket prices down (not that they neccessarily would though!).

Obviously it would have to apply to all leagues worldwide and be enforced by FIFA, and it will never ever happen, but it's a nice thought...

  6. The pub I'm in has got music on instead of the commentary, & for one wonderful second I thought it was Hibbo who smashed in the second instead of Neville....

Nearly had a one man riot on their hands!

  7. edit: so when coleman gets touched and goes down a tad easy it's not a foul but when sturridge does it then it is...this commentator is a dick

Plus when the reply showed Jaaskelinen almost certainly handled it outside the box, he says "nah, he's ok there"!

McInally is so biased it's ridiculous.

And yeah, Sturridge is a massive diver! And Matty Taylor too appparently!!

    /Rant over

  8. Or maybe the armed forces should all just come home anyway, and the know nothing politicians who 'run' (I use the term loosely) the London Fire Brigade should stop bullying an honourable and courageous workforce with the threat of the sack if they don't sign up to detremental new contracts?

  9. With Johnson at the RS, Neill would never get a game unless it was the Carling 'nobody cares' cup.

He hasn't just turned Liverpool down though, it was about 3 years ago, and I think Johnson was probably still on Chelsea's books then.

I've never particularly liked Neill because I've always thought he was quite dirty, but he is a decent player, so on a free I'm happy that it's a good signing.

  10. Yeah I think I've found the right stand, the Putney End. One half of the stand is greyed out in the ticket section of the Fulham site, so I presume that half if the one reserved just for away fans. I presume buying them as close to the Everton end as possible would mean I'd be more likely to be with Everton supporters? Or is it just purely random?

That's weird, I actually work as a fire steward at Fulham occasionally, and I've always thought the Putney stand was purely for away fans.

To be fair though, I do usually work the Riverside stand, and I've never noticed the Fulham fans being particularly vocal anywhere in the ground!

As for places to eat, there's a Pizza Express on Fulham road not far from the ground if you meant something like that? Otherwise there's a variety of places just over the bridge in Putney. Fulham itself has loads of places too, but it's a little bit of a walk, unless you get off at fulham broadway then walk to the ground afterwards (about 20/30 mins).

Sorry I can't be much more help, but I only really know Hammersmith well :)
