I am worried about this game to be honest. Like I read in another thread the results we have got have been against average sides and we don't have anywhere near the consistency of last season. What has annoyed me about moyes is he has said every game the defence will get better but then if he keeps picking the same players then it will not et better.

I like this team and I don't see fellani as a box to box midfielder. From what I can see he looks more a def mid although moyes said that was castillo

I would love us to be able to play 442 but I feel we play better (with the players we have) in a 451 and in addition to that Cahill when fit is one of our best and most consistent performers and I think we need to play a game that plays to his strengths hence the 451. In a 442 (which we reverted to last night) cahill threatis nullified because he cannot get forward. I also think that we don't have enough quality in attack to justify picking two stikers every week. Why doesn't moyes just play cahill as a second stiker full time

and not a midfielder.

I see this in very simple terms we identify a need for a type of player and pick several candidates we then approach them in order of who is the best fit until we buy one. With moutino there must have been a back up so why aren't we trying to get the back up. Also if there is no back up then we need to spend what it takes to get moutino you can't watse a whole transfer window fucking about for 1 player. Everyone says in moyes we trust but either he is going after unrealistic targets we cant' afford or he is being a complete twit about how the deal is structured. He says signing players has got more difficult I don't see pompey/spurs/man city haveing any problems. If we dick sporting lisbon about over the price of moutino or how we want to pay the money they are going to become annoyed and not want to do business at any price. We have got in over 16 mil from player sales since we last bought someone so surely that money needs to be spent on securing moutino. Surely starting our pre-season 3 players lighter than the end of the last without any conicrete movements in the market is not the best prep for pushing on this season. Everyoine keeps saying the market is slow and no other clubs are buying but the clubs around us have all been bringing in players to boost there squad not just to replace people that are leaving. Villa have bought sidwell and friedel and tried hard to get bentley. Totenham have bought Dos snatos and modric Pompey have bought two international stikers (Iinclude defoe) and looking like getting wright phillips Man city have bought a new 18 mil stiker and tried for ronny. Even boro Hull Wigan SUnderland have all do some sort of business but we are just sitting around and the only real speculation is the second best stiker (AJ) is leaving. If we get in new players now they won't have a chance of bedding in. I honestly don't believe this ius moyes fault so where has all the money from last season gone.

I think we need to give them a fair crack of the whip whether we keep AJ or not. I also think keeping AJ would give us the 442 option is Bent any better than AJ. I don't know how many AJ got last season but he did get a number of goals with not many chances.
