  1. No such thing. Even if they're free to play, they still cost loads of time. I have a world of warcraft account and haven't touched it in over 6 months, cuz' the time they take keeps getting longer and longer. Bioware's new "The Old Republic" does indeed look promising, as does "Stargate Worlds", but in terms of cost, there's tons of them that you don't have to pay, but don't expect much in terms of content. An MMO needs to provide alternatives and most of all, have a decent community so that players are motivated to start AND continue playing. And there's only one MMO out there that garantees that, and that's wow. If you don't want to pay for it, there's loads of "private" servers where you can play the game for free. You might try one of them out, just for fun, but it's nowhere near the same as the official one.
  2. Now, it appears, it's Real Madrid that are getting linked... Why is it that every player that's linked to United gets also linked to Madrid after a few days/weeks...? Is Pérez trying to screw Fergie?
  3. Yup. Good ridance, I say. That guy was clearly a "go where the wind blows" kind of player, just looking for the BBP (Bigger Better Paycheck). Everton are better off without him, that's for sure. Nonetheless, Marseille are heavy on the market this summer. Lucho Gonzalez (from porto), Souleymane Diawara (from Bordeaux) e Edouard Cissé (from Rennes), and now M'bia...
  4. I think the new layout looks great. People are a bit upset, but it's natural, and it's because they were used to the old one, and need to learn to use this one now, but visually, it's very nice. Still classy, and yet more professional looking. But I think there's something wrong with the emotes, not all appear properly.
  5. Abramovic would have payed anything to have his favorite player at the club, hell, he even lost mourinho because of it, since jose didn't want him. Frank's the same, power struggles between mourinho and abramovic. Anyways, I don't think tim would go for so much, and as for United's interest, I don't know... They wanted Benzema, Ribery and Valencia, and only have Valencia so far, with Benzema going to real and Ribery giving them a big fat no. Villa isn't interested in moving to England, Atletico are holding on for dear life onto Aguero, and United still have a big cash surplus that clubs are gonna try and milk out of them. It's not gonna be easy for sir Alex to reeinforce the team...
  6. That's what happens when the ones calling the shots are not the ones out there competing. As it stands, with all the engine manufacturers behind FOTA, I'm curious to see what engines the F1 cars are gonna have next season...
  7. You might was well have said your attractive to unicorns, mate...
  8. Yup. And some companies maintain that infrastructure by launching expansions, instead of charging a monthly fee, like Guild Wars, while other have the subscription (WoW, Warhammer, and a few others). So it's still a guess how they'll do it, but one thing is sure, it'll be miles better than Star Wars Galaxies was.
  9. It did. Valencia backed out and asked for more, I think they're trying to push him to chelsea, since it's more money for them. Now there's chelsea, barcelona and united, all interested on him.
  10. No surprise there. Scolari is at money grubbing stage, and given his lack of experience at club training in the last decade, it's not surprising he'll take a club like that. Especially since he can be really good for them, which, I bet, don't have a lot of football knowlege, and he can give them that quite well.
  11. It's probable that you'll have to pay a monthly subscription, but it's not garanteed. There's quite a few MMOs that don't have subscriptions. It's still too soon to know how that will work.
  12. The ending I saw here had Logan in Japan. I heard there were a couple of others. I also heard about a potential deadpool spinoff, but I doubt it, in all fairness... He's a fairly unknown character, and probably not worth the investment. If it does happen, it's gonna be wild. I can just him breaking the 4th wall on screen. For those that don't know, the 4th wall is an invisible wall between reality and fiction. The term originated in theater, and it's sometimes "broken" when characters interact directly with their audience. Deadpool is the only comic book character that is aware of the 4th wall, he knows he's a comic book character, and often interacts with the readers. But since everybody thinks he's crazy anyway, they don't really pay much attention to what he says
  13. I doubt very muc it'll be in any console. It's an MMO type of game, online play only, so I expect it to be PC only, like other MMOs.
  14. Have any of you guys seen this yet: Star Wars - The Old Republic Trailer :bigeyed: :bigeyed:
  15. I did. But the hulk was a bit of a loss for Marvel Studios, so I don't know if he'll be in the Avengers. He was supposed to be, the team was something along the lines of Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Hulk, Dr. Strange and Ant Man, but I haven't heard any news on Dr. Strange's movie, and Ant Man I think as been dropped. Still, it's a lot better to have Marvel in control of the caracthers than some studio that will completely **** up the potential stories...
  16. While there's still a lot of points for the taking, the massive advantage Brawn has is practically enough for a victory. Vattel is 32 points behind, it would take a pretty big disaster for Brawn to loose that big a lead. But you're right, it's still fun to watch. I'm especially looking forward to the night races later in the season.
  17. Origins was pretty good. Faithfull enough to the comic version, I just disliked one thing, not enough Wade Wilson, AKA Deadpool. As for some of your choices for the future, I agree. There's also the Captain America movie and, of course, The Avengers, which promises and amazing cast, after all, they're gonna be the actors from the previous films, Iron Man, Thor, Cap, and let's see who else.
  18. 6 wins out of 7, it's too late for any real competition, unless someone can dominate like he's been doing. This season is over.
  19. I agree. Although Jenson doesn't need to push the car, he can just cruise till the season's end. Ferrari seem to be improving, 3rd/4th row start, and what the hell is wrong with McLaren??? This is much more than feedback from the rules' changes, the drivers aren't that bad, the car seems to be at it's limit...
  20. FOTA teams submit F1 entries for 2010
  21. Maybe, but it still doesn't add up. 1st, the renewal with the reduction in his release clause is meant to make him more "atractive" to other teams, and the added spending of a salary revision is not worth it, if you're gonna sell him bellow that value anyway; 2nd, the board and the manager have been distancing themselves from Veloso, who pulled a real temper tantrum because of Sporting refusing to transfer him to the "giants" that are bolton, and he's pretty much transfer listed, and the supposed sale for this coming season. He's the one that as had various fallouts with the manager, board and fans, not Moutinho, and he's the one supposedly beeing tagged with the values mentioned in the report, not Moutinho; 3rd, letting go of Moutinho for the values beeing discussed would probably be a suicide for the list supported by the current board, and it's very doubtful they'd do anything to offend the club members at this point in time, because that could cost them the election.
  22. Good for them, but that seems utterly stupid, since I got those numbers from the UEFA site... Makes you wonder if they know they have a site at all
  23. There's so many errors in that report that makes me doubt it very much. Add to that the fact that no one here knows anything about it (meaning newsies) and that we have an election next month. Besides, who'd renew a player's contract with a lower release fee and then sell him bellow that value?? I think you've read my posts here long enough to know that I wouldn't be upset by this. If he leaves, he leaves, and I hope that he'll join you guys rather than another team. It doesn't change the highly dubious nature of these reports, and the fact that a midfielder like Moutinho, for the value he'd cost, is probably one of the least priorities for Everton next season.
