  1. lol We've been playing completely irregular this season, some great games, most of them are mediocre, and there's some really bad ones. We played 4 games this against BIG clubs, twice against barça, one against madrid and this one with bayern. We took 18 goals in those 4 games... Anyways, in a week where we played (and beat) benfica, bayern and porto, I just hope we win tonight, otherwise it's pretty much season over, as far as championship is concerned.
  2. Well, here's some other jerseys with (yuck) red on it: AC Milan: Atletico Madrid: Flamengo: São Paulo: Might be an alternative, another team's jersey...
  3. Next season it's Europa League, which is an unknown for everyone. Supposedly, clubs will get more cash, and more exposure, but this season, it's the same old crap. You get more cash for qualifying from CL groups than for reaching the UEFA final...
  4. Maybe the forum has a built in AI, and saw how lame the joke was, and paused to make sure you were really trying to post it (j/k)
  5. If you look at the quotes from Moutinho, they're the same as the ones from 2 months ago, so it's basically SSDD.
  6. Could this season get any worse, injury wise??? I mean, does anyone else get the feeling that if Everton had a normal season, with a normal number of injuries, you'd be top 5 or 4 by now??? I think Everton need to seriously get numbers on the team. It's clear the squad is thin, and injuries make a big difference in the team's performances. I know that, to make a proper challenge for the top spots, Everton need quality players, but going after big(ger) names now isn't the answer, in my view. A 2nd season like this one could really hurt Everton's future overall, even if they're doing an amazing job. You should have 2 players fighting for each position, not having to resort to youngsters when a 1st team players gets injured...
  7. My opinion on this is pretty devided at the moment... I don't want to lose him, but we have new kids that aren't getting enough 1st team football, and that hurts their progression. Also, next season, we're probably gonna have a new board, and maybe a new coach (*crosses fingers*), so I don't even know what their priorities are gonna be... Personally, I'd prefer to sell Miguel Veloso, we have more solutions there, and I think he needs to move on, but soon we'll have others..
  8. 2 points lost... Very important points, since arsenal and villa lost points too, would have been a wonderful opportunity to close the gap. too many absences, imo...
  9. http://www.ustream.tv/videoplayerpopup/channel/527019 Come on!! more than 45 minutes against 10 men... Score, ffs!!!
  10. He wasn't a cheat in that regard. Yeah, he was hot tempered with a short fuse, but he did lots of crazy ass shit. And Rossi was a bit of a Prima Donna in those days.
  11. Lost, Heroes, Terminator, Galactica and Dollhouse. My point is, how many people do you imagine play those very same numbers??
  12. I miss the great champions of old, like Mick Doohan, Kevin Schwantz, both the Waynes (Rainey and Gardner), and the crazy guys that were Randy Mamola and Max Biaggi. I mean check this out: How he manages not to fall down is anybody's guess... I think there was this hot blonde in the stands, and... Is it just me, or does he go past vertical...? Anyways, Rossi is a magician on a bike, but I miss those days when there was tons of drivers and loads of competition...
  13. You watch way too much Lost... Besides, if the numbers EVER came up, you'd win like a pound or something, for the ammount of people that play those
  14. Pereirinha is one of our current 2nd stringer youths, along with Adrien and Carriço. All have a problem, in which they're not the 1st options for their positions, which means little play time. Adrien has the ability to become as good as Miguel Veloso, with a bit less power, but more tecnique, Carriço is more than likely gonna be one of the top central defenders in a few years, and Pereirinha, well, if he could defend better, He'd make an amazing right back for us, but he's a bit raw there, so he's mostly benched, cuz' of Izmailov and Vukcevick. And next year, we'll have Diogo Rosado as well...
  15. Changed now. Europa Cup works similar to CL now, so 3rd and 4th are out
  16. Ok, I just wanted to share these 2 amazing works of art with you guys, so here you go, enjoy : Sporting 1-0 Benfica - Liedson Sporting 3-1 Benfica - Liedson
  17. Too simple... But I've never been a Pepsi fan, so...
  18. Pretty much what I was gonna say as a comment to blue 250's post. It's not a question of beeing ready or not. Beeing ready, Everton already is. They have the quality, the discipline and the will to be in the Champions League. And it's a whole of a lot more money coming into a club in it than in the UEFA. Well, maybe that'll change next season with the new Europa League, but it won't be the same as CL. Everton have the ability to qualify for groups stage definetly, and, depending on the group, maybe even getting to the next stage. The thing is, there's quite a lot of competition in the EPL to get into the CL. Also, getting into the CL means you can attract another level of players, and have a bigger budget to work with. You can't look at the CL as a monster, sure, the chances of winning it are slim, at best, but just beeing there means a lot, in terms of money and exposure. Each new fase gets you a fixed value, and each win, and draw, etc. Getting past the groups stage in the CL nets you more money than beeing in the UEFA final...
  19. Well, there's the 2nd leg this week, I don't count them completely out, but it's gonna be though. It was really though luck, since Everton deserved to be in the groups stage (certainly more than the pompeys) and wasn't, and now, looks like standard won't be in the last 16, and they deserved that too. Braga lost 4 points in the last few minutes of 2 games, 1 point away at milan, with a late goal from Ronaldinho to give them the win, and 3 points against Wolfsburg, when they were 2-0 up with about 10 minutes to go, they managed to loose 3-2. 4 more points meant a 1st or 2nd place, therefore they wouldn't play against another 1st place team, like Standard. Well, 2nd leg over, fair play to Standard, but Braga we're better. I've been saying for some time now, that there's a lot of quality there...
  20. So how many players did you guys loose? Cuz that was some whooping you got, guys... In all fairness, Braga have been really strong this year, as I've said quite a few times. I'm not a big fan of them, after all, they were part of the Sporting family, but they decided to leave, ungrateful sods. Anyways, for those that didn't see it, here's the goals: Braga Vs. Standard Liege 3 - 0 The 1st goal is amazing. Well, Mike, you remember I've been saying Braga are not an easy side to face, and they were 2-0 down after 25 minutes, so that's kind hard on moral. Besides, I don't know how many players left during this winter transfer window. Braga have been on a great form for a couple of months now.
  21. In all honesty, I'd wait another year or 2 before taking a baby on a holiday like that. It's not gonna be much relaxing for you, because they're still in that phase where they don't sleep all that much when they should. You have to worry about all kinds of infections, and sun burn, so I'd advise either postponing it or leaving the baby home for a week or 2. A vacation is about relaxing, and I doubt you'll be doing much of that with a 1 year toddler with you.
  22. I don't know... Arsenal still have 2 games to play, and Champions League season is restarting soon... Lots of games...
  23. 1 Blackburn Rovers or Coventry City v Chelsea 2 Swansea City or Fulham v Manchester United 3 Cardiff City or Arsenal or Burnley v Sheffield United or Hull City 4 Everton v West Ham United or Middlesbrough If the favorites go through, it's gonna be some interesting semis
  24. I think the draw is gonna be live in a few minutes here: http://atdhe.net/watchtv.php?b=i1
