The Ignashevich deal is apparently dependent on the Lescott deal so 1 out, 1 in which leaves us in the same position we are in right now.
That is 2 fit senior defenders, 1 squad + emergency fill-ins (Neville) until Jagielka comes back, then we have 3 senior defenders, and then when Yobo leaves we're back down to 2.
where did you read that its dependent on Lescott going?

Stuart Barlow is another Judas playing for Tranmere? the team looks decent enough tho.
no way is jigsaw a traitor, we got rid of him he wasnt good enough, but he ran his socks off for us
-
my guess is we will sign 6 players before the end of the transfer window 2 frees 2 cheapies 2 BIG SIGNINGS!!!!!!!!!

What's the chances that we have been took over , saying nothing untill we pounce , and spend £50 mill in the process ?
If we want Moutinho , then that will cost at least £15 + add ons , so unlikely we will get both him and M'bia , so I'm presuming Moutinho is a no go .
We will lose players to the African nations once again in January , including M'bia if he comes , and possibly Yakubu , Pienaar and Anichebe .
We also have Europe to consider .
Arteta and Yak back from injury ? Doesn't fill me with confidence .
Jags still crocked , Jacobsen possibly leaving , Castillo and company already gone .
Jo back to City , and talks of Saha leaving ?
We're in a right mess , so if we don't have money , then there will be no option but to sell Lescott surely ?
If we do have money , do we have enough simply to crutch our side , or do we have enough to improve the team ?
I'm guessing we will need to spend about £25 mill even if Lescott stays , unless we buy unproven young lads , or mediocre cast offs backed up with loans and what's left of our youngsters .
Our first friendly is on the 12th of July .
It's late , I could be talking crap as usual , but this next week should be very interesting ........... or not .
your post really cheered me up NOT!! you have just put me on suicide watch after reading it and there was me feeling positive about the new season :suicide_anim: :suicide_anim: :suicide_anim:

strange how everything is blue in there
looks very similar to our proposed new stadium in kirkby,
-
Don't know where you've heard that.
Apparently Samuel Eto'o advised him to hold out for a bigger club but none came in and he is happy to sign for Everton now..that's from CAMFoot.com
it was on setanta sports news web yesterday

Mbia is said to have handed in a transfer request to speed up his move to Everton, i am feeling a lot more positive about this transfer window, lets hope some of these come off
-
Why is everyone suddenly fine with arteta being on the right?
he's bunk there! he belongs in the middle..WE NEED A RIGHT MIDFIELDER/WINGER!
Defo agree, keep him in the centre, thats his best position.
-
That's still a qualifier though really isn't it?
it is, but the issue was that people were saying our first game was in europa i am trying to tell people it is not, thats all, our first game is 15th August premiership
-
I think we have to play a qualifier. Might be wrong but i'm sure i read it somewhere.
no we enter the play off stage trust me im right!!!20th august
-
No your not wrong Steve, here you go ..............
have we not got a game on the 15th august in the premiership?we join europa league on the 20th august i think

You could have had 300 people on the site on day after the cup final... all voting for tony hibbert..... ingnoring the fact he was shite.... he may have had a blinder and scored a hat trick....
so 300 votes for tony hibbert.... ooo hes player of the season with 300 votes.....
I dont understand why people think its the best way of doing it.... most MOTM's = winner
why does that now work? can someone explain?
i take your point but if a player was MOM for 4 games and shite for the rest, how can he be player of the season makes you realise it is difficult to have a perfect system of voting i would stick with what we have now it seems the fairest way to me unless someone has a better one
-
he won it by consistent performances over the season you cant punish him for other players being injured however my own player of the season was jags
-
All non linked players can be discussed in the Non Linked Thread ..................... http://www.toffeetalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17610

Bill.
i do apologise i did not realise i had put it in the wrong place, but would you have him?
-
yes
great player, he did things wrong but i blame his agent as much for turning his head. he's still a blue and even said he's kid will be a blue so he obviously still loves the club and if he wanted to come back and help the club again id have him at a snap
when be kissed his man u badge in front of us at goodison, i vowed then i would never forgive him, no true blue would ever do that.so no i never want to see him play for us again
-
reports suggest Beckham wants to return to the Premiership next season wonder if anyone would fancy us taking him i know he is getting on, but he is still quality and it would raise our profile, i cannot decide if i would want him
-
Yes, the Majority of Fulham supporters are not thrilled by him, for them its a bit like when Beattie came here, thrilled and excited at the prospect but unfortately not living up to expectations.
perfectly summed up i agree fully
-
linked with alan smith again ffs, this one seems to keep coming up a big NO from me
-
radio city are reporting lescott has refused to commit his long term future to everton
does not suprise i have had a feeling for months that he would go dont know why, wonder if being in the England squad has something to do with it listening to how much some of them are being paid?
-
Howard
Nash

Yobo
Baines
Osman
Cahill
Arteta (injured)
Screech

Saha will prob be injured
Yak may not be back fully fit
Arteta will be injured
Gosling isnt good enough
Jags will be injured
Could start the season with maybe 16/17 players
Where the hell did you get 28 from
coleman valente irving kissock wallace baxter apart from Valente i know the rest are young but they are all on full time pro contracts and are in the first team squad remember Rodwell was in the same position as some of these and would he of got the chance if we had a bigger squad
-
Moutinho interesting Man Utd.. apparently price is £12m
thats the end of that dream then!
-
Perfect time to sell. His form for Fulham has been good but nothing of what he was doing at Crystal Palace and Everton. When he was up at Goodison England was on the horizon, nowadays he has slipped further and further down the pecking order and dosen't look like getting a first team place once again. IMO he is a good man, a good footballer but not good enough for this club. His goal tally hasn't been impressive at Fulham and without him we have been able to bring in better and cement another place in Europe.
Felt the same about James Beattie.
i did as well

we are always going on about the size of our squad not being big enough.we have a core squad of about 28 players including some of the younger players but what size squad do you all think is big enough? without injuries i would have difficulty naming our starting eleven even now .say we signed 4 really good players would some of our more established players be happy with a rotation system and would this harm our younger players coming through .would we have given a chance to Rodwell Gosling etc if we had a bigger squad and also would it affect the team spirit that we have at the club? would be interested in your views on this
