Dissapointed Moyes didn't make changes earlier but then if we'd scored a second goal he'd probably have made the changes. Macclesfield didn't create much but 1-0 just isn't enough in a cup tie and with 1 in the first half we shouldn have finished it in the second half.

 

Macclesfield played ok but we just weren't creating anything.

 

Just a thought on the Fellaini yellow card situation, surely we'd rather have him suspended for the Hull game than any of the other 3 games? Could it not have been an idea to bring him on and get him booked now? Otherwise he should have done it last week!

They may seem big numbers but who do you replace them with that will guarantee their level of performance in the premiership? You have to spend big, big bucks to find an equivilant.

if that's your price then Fellaini was the bargain of the century...

why on earth would we need a "powerful midfield presence" .. if there's one area where we're set it's our midfield .. arteta, cahill, mo, osman, pienaar, gosling, castillo ...

seeing what arteta can do in that position, we should be happy not to have signed Moutinho in august .. arteta would have been a waste of talent on either flank.

i do wonder if for 15m fellaini was the best buy out there, but it does seem that since his arrival everton has shot up the standings. seems like mo fits in perfectly with this team with his size and position play... arteta now distributing and getting the ball back ..

had never heard of them before, but this song is awesome.

he started out in belgian league.. watched him play for a season, he's the reason an inferior team won the cup in belgium the year he played there.

he's an excellent player, very fast, very dangerous in front of the goal.. can play multiple positions (striker, winger either side).

imo a better player than Saha.

would be great for everton if they got him.

voted howard.. everybody played well , as in noone really stood out.

great safe in first half... solid effort and always ready when he needed to be.

gosling played well but really should have scored a goal .. especially his last chance was more difficult to miss than score.

special mention for the referee : worst perfomance of the year so far.

i'm from belgium.. after everton got fellaini, i started watching every everton match. (they show every single one of em now that big mo is on the team).

after a while found myself nog just cheering fellaini on, but hoping everton would win.

became really familiar with the team and genuinly hope everton is back in europe next year.

i'd say let him go .. he's one of the highest paid players on the team and he doesn't bring that much to the table..

except for the two goals against villa, i think he's been poor this season (alltho he has been better as of late).

I had a phase where I wanted to move to the USA and try to become a basketball player, I saw the houses on the MTV Cribs and saw just how much they get paid. I mean, its worse than football. Those guys dont have to run as much and occassionaly jump for a hoop. I'd love to see the pay salary for players like Kobe Bryant. Woulden't mind his wages for a week.
