  1. Jog on....might be a shock for you, he is not a striker yet he is doing a better job than our strikers would have done. I am not a big Cahill fan, never have been, but what he is doing for the team at the moment is amazing. He is what makes us tick at the moment not screech.

    you're a weird dude :D

you don't like cahill or fellaini (who are in my opinion actually playing great, and together with jagielka/lescott are the driving force behind this current run) and on the other hand you defend hibbert at all costs (even claiming he is the reason we have had clean sheets as of late, while we're getting clean sheets in spite of hibbert).

    anyway, i voted for fellaini.

he was really agressive chasing down opposing midfielders, and finally he did it for 90 minutes.

possibly won -every- header he was involved in.

great composure on the ball !

maybe only 1 or 2 bad passes.

  2. horrible ending to a very good second half..

first half was one of the worst first halfs of football we've played this season. picked it up very well in second half. cahill was awesome, so was the duo of lescott jagielka. fellaini worked harder than usual and finally managed to keep it up for a full 90 minutes.

deserved to win, i don't know if howard could have done something better to stop van persie's shot (it was probably hit too hard, but still .. initially i thought that a striker should never be able to score from that angle).

maybe missed our last chance at getting into the top5 .. we needed three with ManU waiting.

  3. i saw arsenal play cardiff .. they look so inadequate at scoring goals... for all the injuries we're faced with right now, none are in our defense which is playing masterfully .. i just can't see arsenal breaking through ...

so if a clean sheet is a given, any goal will take it for us..

my guess is 0-0, but it's just as likely that cahill or fellaini give us the win.

  4. That's a cracking video, can pick up most of it because it's in French (presumably the subtitles are Flemish?).

    Comes across really well....nice guy.

yeah subs are in Flemish ..

He talked about how his hair is just like his fathers, that he's never heard of The Beatles (what the f***???), he misses his mother's cooking, ..

In those pics he looks like he's from the 70's .. I love it. .

  5. i can't see this being a draw .. i don't think liverpool will want yet -another- game to play .. if it's still 0-0 after 80mins they will push everything foreward..

that's when Hibbert , caught horribly out of position , finds himself as everton's only man on liverpools half ... Jagielka passes it to him.. Frightened, Tony looks to pass it off..

he can't find anyone and decides to just cross the ball into the empty penalty area ... luckily his cross is once again way to low and it hits the first defender in the knee..

the ball is deflected into the goal!

    We win.

Hibbert will get the goal awarded to him, but sadly the FA will take it away after review.

  6. i look at football matches as an event which gives fans a venue where they can vent their anger and frustration of everyday life. identifying with players and a club, makes people do whatever they can to get that club to win.. the general need for catharsis is validity enough to yell anything you want in my opinion .. (apart from the obvious racist and homophobic statements).

personally i wouldn't join in any chants that might be perceived as hurtful to the person they're directed at, but i do think it's the right of any supporter to yell whatever he deems necessary.

it's the prerogative of a supporter .. it's the reason why you don't see referees giving red cards to people in the stands..

apart from preventing physical harm, the police have no place in a football stadium..

  7. Actually, my inner Nostradamus hasn't been doing any better, although half of my original prediction (Pittsburgh-Carolina) is also still on track. The betting lines are now favoring Pittsburgh and Philly, and that's who I'd probably pick too, but let's just say at this point that nothing would surprise me anymore.

Pittsburgh - Arizona .. Pittsburgh currently favored by 6.5 ... which way do you think the line is going to go? I'd say it's bound to go down (before I saw it, I'd have guessed it would have been somewhere in the vicinity of Pittsburgh -4).

Arizona played awesome against Philly and Philly defense isn't much worse than Steelers'.

I think Warner is gonna pull it off. Besides he promised his daughter a puppy and there's no stopping a man who has got a puppy promised to his kids!

  8. haven't really noticed an elbowing problem with him in everton .. first notice of it was the turner-incident, but i think that was more a reaction of frustration towards the way hull were playing him (starting with the elbow to the back of the head by Zayatte at the beginning of the game and ending with a tackle on the back of his heels at the end of the game when he was passing the ball back and forth with Pienaar) .. that fact that he feels like he needs to retort in a manner that would likely get him a red card is just a sign of immaturity which will get better with time ..

If I were to equate this to a four-team Premier League title chase with two weeks left, it would be sort of like one of the Big Four (in this case Pittsburgh) trying to fend off Newcastle (Philly, the perennial contenders who never win anything), Allardyce's Bolton (Baltimore, the team opponents hate to play because they're so physical and casual fans hate to watch because they don't play "attractive" football), and Sunderland (Arizona, the long-disrespected team who won a few titles 60 or 80 or 100 years ago and haven't even come close since).

    :P

I heard Mike Lombardi on the B.S. Report compare the remaining teams to Sopranos characters :

    Pittsburgh - Tony.

Philadelphia - Big Pussy, two faced, don't really know who they are.

    Baltimore - Paulie.

Arizona - Johnny Sack, very deceptive, don't know where they're coming from.
