  1. Billy get the nod for me for sheer class and quality of delivery. It's going to be great when Arteta back and we've got 4 great dead ball specialists pinging the ball in for TC and Fella. Especially i the Europa legue where the defenders won't be able to get away with holding and shirt pulling. Rodwell and Baines for me cannot be seperated for 2nd place. Yobo and Distan excellent, cannot be seperated for 3rd spot. And a special mention to AEK fans, awesome noise. Shame they all looked like geordies with no tops on........................
  2. I think very few of the super rich haven't stepped on more than a few toes and broken more than a few rules. Financial discrepencies being the least of it!
  3. Not at all. Because of this bit. It's strictly done to look good to the fans living in a real world where salaries are per year, not per week. If there were real penalties for overpaying salaries and running in huge debt, there would NEVER have been 20 'ayes'
  4. How would you break down your squad? 3 Keepers, 8 defenders, 2 defensive mids, 6 mids, 2 attacking mids and 4 strikers? We currently have 9 forwards on the books. The versatility in our squad will be very helpful for sure, and it will slow down City buying the title. Spurs will lose 60% of their squad. The championship will become a stronger league with all the players freed up, probably to go out on loan. Now a question. If you were the manager, and the rule was in this season, would you have named Jags in your 25 man squad at the end of August, knowing he's out until November-ish? One of our most important players. In the 25 but not available for 12 weeks, or out, give him an extra 6 weeks recovery?
  5. A penalty won by a bloke who's club manager is mouthing off about other teams players diving. Clearly Wayne was well taught by Ronaldo.
  6. I heard all about Macfadden's goal on Radio 5 on my way home from work. The way they drooled about it I thought it was a mazy, highly skilled piece of dribblig with a cheeky turn around the keeper. I watched with great anticipation on SSN this moring to see a sleepig defence skined by an ignorant poke forward and a decet turn of pace, then a keeper committing himself to a player 10 yards away. Macfadden, a player I was very excited about when he signed, was never really good enough for Everton.
  7. Is playing left back today. Whilst versatility is very important to a squad, I'd like to see some more specialised players brought in, instead of so many versatile, good players. I'm a big supporter of Moyes, BK ad the way the club is being run. But a real specialist winger, in the mould of Kachelskis, could create so much for our attacking players. Our achillies heel, I believe, over the last few years has been in midfield. We've got great quality, but too often players arent playing in their best positions. TC playig a central midfield role is a prime example.
  8. I very much agree about cheating way into the tournament but I think, and I wait to be corrected here, that rule has now been dropped and everybody has to qualify. Although a quick look on fifa.comtells me I'm probably talking garbage because South Africa aren't qualifying for this tournament. But....................... I'm sure I heard it somewhere!
  9. What's the Story, Oasis. Going to dig out Ten, Pearl Jam, and Nevermid next.
  10. The appeal will, I think, will be won and the penalty reduced to a nominal fine that would be almost irrelevant to the Chelsea Tea lady, never mind Abramovich. FIFA will believe they've saved face. Chelsea will giggle to themslves. Lens will realise they wasted a fortune they probably haven't got on laywers. The laywers will giggle to themslves. Man Shitty, manure, Real Madrid, Arsenal and others will carry on almost exactly as before, giggling to themselves. Cynical I hear you say? Anyone care to bet against it?
  11. It'd be nice to be a fly on the wall of the winning dresing room.................................. :snorkle:
  12. I'm as surprised at this story as I am the UEFA banning Eduardo one. It would seem the footballing authorities are finally showing some balls, a pleasure to behold for all of us that love the beautiful game and believe still in the spirit of fair play. It's such a shame that none of it will hold when the 'big boys' decide to put their foot (or feet?) down. I rather think the defence arguments will involve hundreds of examples of identical 'crimes' being unpunished and FIFA, UEFA and the worldwide football associations realising this is now a part of the game and sadly cannot and will not be changed without the assistance of the club bosses and the players realising the importance of their own integrity to the fans. When the clubs start to stamp down on the issues, it will be irradicated. Regardless of what FIFA and UEFA think and do.
  13. Proof that Wayne Rooney is leaving Manure has appeared in todays Sun. Judas bastard telling lies again Once a blue........................... My arse. :axehead:
  14. In the 90's my favourite band by a mile. Saw them live a couple of times, absolutely amazing. I agree Noel is the talent, Liam was always the gobshite. Typical City fan really. The big shame for me is they tried to carry on too long. Their hatred for each other, and the size of their egos, came before the music too often. Still, I'll always keep What's the story (morning glory) close to the top of my CD pile.
  15. I thought I heard on Sky Sports News this morning he's gone out on loan, but I can't find anything on the net. I was in the bath at the time and may have had water in my ears, but I'm convinced they said Vagner Love. Can anyone confirm this for me? He was heavily touted round the papers and Blue Room as a target, scouted diligently on YouTube and FM08 and declared the worlds greatest striker by some. It would seem, if I heard right, that the Moysiah was never interested.
  16. Regardless of all else, he is terrific value for money. (at least according to BBC website today) To buy him at 15 quid, Bill would even be able to afford a years worth of Taxi fares!
  17. Charging Eduardo is an extreemly dangerous precident. There will be a dozen or more dubious decisions in the premier league this weekend alone I'm sure. Does this now give the clubs the right to complain about every mistake by a ref or linesman? One thing for sure, the Manure players had better be on best behaviour because wenger will definatly see any wrongdoing today!
  18. TIP OF THE DAY: Ignore anything I post relating to betting. All listen to Uncle Jamiemaher85! I still think my theory was good, I blame Hibbo for everything.
  19. Links to watch the draw folks UEFA video link. My link If that doesn't go straight to it you'll get there via UEFA website. There's also audio and on screen live draw shows too, so whatever works best for you. My link Quite why it just says my link for both I haven't fully fathomed, bu top one is video, 2nd UEFA.com, as it says on the tin. I'll work out this insert link bit out for next time!
  20. Its 150/1 for 4-0, they're not listing such a disaster as 5-0! Everton often let me down, first scorer is far too open, as is guessing our scorelines. Plus the fact I never think we'll lose has done me no favours so far this year!
  21. He went down running at pace in my opinion, rather like Andy Johnson a couple of seasons ago, several times. We all defended him to the hilt, as 'at that pace the slightest touch'. We've all used the words. Do you think it's the same in this case? I do.
  22. Sky transfer centre has Robert Huth as set to have a medical at Stoke. Firstly, rather them than us, he's cack. Secondly, do they have an offer for Shawcross? (my prefered replacement for JL)
  23. I hope I'm posting this on the right forum, if not my apologies Is anyone having a couple of quid tonight? I always look for a bit of value, and as Sigma looked a decent side, I think they will score. Sigma to lead at half time, Everton win is 25/1. 1-3 and 2-3 scorelines are 16/1 and 25/1 respectively. Mixing these scores with their top rated 1st scorer, Michael Hubnik pays 170 and 250/1. Any thoughts?
  24. Duncan can never be described as a terrible player. Thug, yes, terrible no. But I have to agree to some extent because what Dunc did was to bring out the worst of the squad, particularly in his second spell when he was used more as a sub. We'd be playing good(ish) football, Big D comes on and its hoof-ball. And usually ineffective hoof-ball at that. To the subject, many bad players mentioned but I have to go with the worst disappointment, Andy 'Shandy' Van Der Meyde, simply because we all knew the quality the guy possesed but never showed.
  25. Beat me to it. This was to be my first post! I read about this last night and thought exactly the same. I was quite surprised as he was regularly banded around the blueroom as a great prospect and a certainty to make the grade. If that was the case surely he'd have gone to the Championship, or even Hull, since they're completely unable to sign strikers!
