  8. Z-Cars will be played at Anfield tonight in tribute to Rhys Jones. The 11-year-old who was murdered last week was a mad Evertonian, but his death has shocked the entire city of Liverpool and the Anfield club will play the Everton anthem before tonight's game against Toulouse. The move was suggested by the Liverpool Echo newspaper and Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry then discussed it with Rhys' parents Stephen and Melanie. Rhys' uncle Neil Jones said the family were pleased with the show of support and suggested Rhys himself would appreciate the gesture. He said: "When I told them about the proposed tribute at Anfield, Melanie said playing Johnny Todd at Anfield would be a unique event, a complete one-off, just like Rhys, and a fitting tribute to him as it was his favourite tune. "She's also pretty sure he'll have a little mischievous grin on his face at the thought of being the cause of it." If you have information, please contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 8722. You can also contact by texting the word CRIME followed by your message to 61051, or e-mail your information to murder@merseyside.police.uk.
  9. yeah where are them teeth??? ya looked pissed off in that photo
  10. WHATEVER you think about the amount of money Everton are paying for Yakubu, one this is for certain. You know what you are going to get for it. David Moyes knows he isn’t buying a forward who will run into all four corners of the ground chasing people down. Believe it or not, I never saw Dixie Dean play but I can’t imagine he was the type of player who did that either. His team-mates knew where he would be and that was in the area – put it there and he will put it in the net. With Yakubu it’s a similar thing, you’re buying goals and if his record at Portsmouth and Middlesbrough is anything to go by, you’re buying guaranteed goals. Leave the running and the stretching of defenders to Andrew Johnson. He has the pace and now it’s up to Yakubu to provide the power. It seems clear that the Nigerian hasn’t been brought in to provide competition for Johnson – I think it will help him.

  15. Everton to bid for Portsmouth's Taylor Everton are moving for Portsmouth left-back Matthew Taylor. The Sunday Mirror says despite landing Leighton Baines from Wigan, Everton boss David Moyes still wants to strengthen the left-hand side of his midfield and Taylor fits the bill. Pompey are seeking £5.5 million for the ex-Luton defender
