  1. I stayed up till 2:00AM watching that shite, I feel for you lads that paid good money in order to head to Bolton. We were awful. Not one player had a half decent game. It's starting to wear thin now. Why, did we start with 4-5-1 when everytime we have started a game this season with a more positive outlook we seem to have picked up a result or at least shown signs of a positive performance. Where do we go from here lads, if we play like that against Chelsea 'shit will get messy'.

  2. We have one clear problem - it's evolution. We are focusing on our first 11 and yes it can challenge the better teams in the league, fact. Having our best squad for years means nothing, everyone else seems to have the same thing.

The problem we have is that a few years back the premier league was split in three clear levels, Top 4, 5-8 and the rest were pretty much cannon fodder. We were able to supplement our poor results against the top 4 by picking up alot from elsewhere. Now things have reversed.

Why? Well Look at the squads of teams that we used to bank 4-6 points off a season... Athletic, strong pacey, difficult to break down. Press high up the field,, counter attack etc etc. Nearly every team has at least one free kick specialist nowadays! Gone are the days where lower league teams would have a few old wise heads who would bark at their team mates to sit deep and soak pressure, only to be on the receiving end of a 5-0 thrashing once the deadlock was broken.

We are still approaching teams with a caution first approach, only when we realise we have to throw caution to the wind (concede) do we look like a team who are dangerous (West Ham, Blackpool etc) -

Bolton yesterday was an example of two things, 1. the other teams are stronger, 2. we have not evolved our style to overcome them and moyes has no ideas on how to change plan A, the team is set up with one idea. If it doesn't work and then he tinkers around with a spanner like a YTS mechanic trying to start an engine.

The sad fact of the matter is that we have no real leader, Neville is a leader in voice but his example decreases with every pathetic attempt at a step over, getting rid of the ball like a hot potatoe, random interviews on topics that he has no place to comment. Baines for me looks like that person in the absence of Jags. Top and bottom we need a carragher esque character on the pitch. As much as I dislike the Reds, I couldn't help but admire Carraghers knowledge on sky sports yesterday - talks total sense and is a credit to the game.

Very, Very, Very good shout mate. I think you are right. But as someone stated above about wholesale changes. Any form of 'Massive Change' or 'Overhaul' normally has a dire effect to begin with. Would Moyes be willing to dismantle everything he has built knowing that starting the cycle again may prove that in five or six years we are just back to where we are now, with a new crop of players having to be sold to fund more change. Would our club steer clear of relegation if wholesale change was introduced, I'm not so sure.

I haven't got the answers and I'm worried about the future of our football club. It is ok saying "Lets bring in an new owner" but who out there is looking to buy? The difference with us and the Redshite, is that people wanted to buy Liverpool Football Club. How many people really want to buy Everton Football Club? I'm scared that the REAL answer is no one does.

As for the statement "Would Relegation Be A Blessing In Disguise". I respect your shout but have a day off will yer, thats like saying Cancer would be brilliant because it makes you start thinking about what you have in life and maybe you won't take things for granted. Its that kinda concept and I think its utter shite. Relegation would mean we don't come back. I'm sure of that.

  3. For me he didn't look like he cut could it yesterday, also I think his lifestyle might be a problem. I'm sure Moyes would have picked up on this. It's a shame really because he doesn't realise just what he has, a chance to be a professional footballer at a club we all love. I'd chop my knobhead off for that. :(

  4. Is the new Park End development not going to free up more space inside the ground for hospitality stuff? Thought I read that somewhere  .

Lets face it Mike, how many businessmen that arn't massive blues are gonna wanna pay ex amounts of pounds for a box in ground like Goodison, they just won't will they? I love the place as much as the next man but in modern day terms it's hardly easy on the eye...

  5. Do these people moaning go though? I say this because I sit in lower gwlady's where I'd expect a section of fans to let their thoughts be known for something like this, but nothing... there's definately unrest from many fans but it's not really in the stadium yet... it's interesting though.

This is what I've been wondering. I'm out working in the Far East at the moment and so the only things I hear are from forums & Facebook. Bluekipper is full of it. But someone was saying the other day how a small group started to chant 'sack the board' and they were drowned out and given an ear full by older blues. So what is the common thinking amongst our supports guys?

  6. Mate, nice thought coming on here trying to build bridges. But we are not your twin & we never will be. The only thing we have in common is that we both live in the shadow of a team in red. Personally, I hate Manchester United and I like to see them lose but I respect them all the same. Certain people within their club command respect Sir Alex Ferguson, Ryan Giggs & Scholes etc. However, I can't say the same for Manchester City. I'm jealous I'll hold my hands up. I envy how my club has tried to do things properly (in the past) with a manager that has slowly built a football team and yours has leap frogged all that hard work due to the financial muscle of some oil rich 'Sheikh'. It gets on my tits and I hope it goes wrong for you. Nothing personal my little Manc Friend!

Here's to you smashing Liverpool on the 10th April.

  7. This season Arteta has struggle go past thin air, nevermind a man, so what makes you think he'd be able to do it on the wing?

This season I'd agree mate. But we all know what Mikel can do. On his day he is unplayable. Just a shame we haven't seen to many of those 'days' this term. I still believe in Mikel though, I still think he can find his feet this year. Thats why I'd like to see him out on the right.

  8. I actually didnt think Arteta was that great out wide. He certainly showed glimpses of quality but he drifted in and out of games far too much and tended to either be very good or poor. Part of that was probably because we didnt get him in the game enough but bar this season he has been twice the player in the heart of midfield.

Exactly. I personally wouldnt mind so much if our shit players were either scoring or getting assists. He seemed to do alright when he was eventually brought on against Scunthorpe as well.

That pretty much spells out his time at Everton mate, either a world beater or pretty poor. At the moment he's pretty poor. I like him out on the right, he's got the skill and thinking to go past a man and whip a decent ball in. I think Moyes should look at this again.

As for Billy, I think he's one of those players that has a knack of popping up at the right time and hitting it sweetly. He can be a very good player at Everton.

  9. I like to think I'm a positive kinda guy, but its hard at the moment. Why isn't Moyes putting pressure on his employers? I can see rough sea's ahead chaps. 8 Years of hard work, building a decent side is looking like a waste. I'd like to put it down to this crazy season. But I think I'd be sticking my cock in the sand if I did that.

  10. Hi Lads and Ladies,

I’ve just started playing a new Online Football Managers game called Futera World Football – it uses trading cards for players....

I’ve been playing loads recently but there are not many European or English based teams, so hard for me to swap codes etc, thought I’d see if anyone on here was up for having a go.

When you sign up online (at www.futeraworldfootball.com) you are given a free starter squad to play with so it doesn't cost you anything, its just a good laugh, especially as you can give other players stick, good banter!

I’m going to be kind and give few codes of some of the cards I’ve got hold of. Each card has a code on the back (the best cards – Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, have a unique code, so you can only add them if you actually find their card in a pack) just goto register cards and you can add these to your squad…

Also I’ve been told that if you enter a PROMO code of KING1217 when you register for a team you get 2 other top players, although I don't know if this is right as I only found out after I’d made my team.

  11. This is for anyone who would like to see a designated 'Singing Area' at Goodison Park. The club are not interested at the moment so it's in our own hands. Atmosphere is extremely important and it can spur the team on. But in recent years no one can argue that the atmosphere has dropped dramatically at our unique and fantastic old football stadium. Away fans come and take the mickey and get nothing back. We are a huge club with massive numbers home and away. We need to back this with atmosphere that makes other teams up and down the country fear Goodison Park again. I understand not everyone wants to stand up and chant at the game and have no problem with that. But myself and plenty others do and we feel that if we were given our own area to sing at the match without the fear of being told to 'sit the f**k down lad' it would be beneficial to the supports and the team. So please join this group if you would like to see something like this put into place. It would be a good idea if we could discuss certain areas that would be suitable for us to take over. Post idea's on the wall. Let's make this happen blues.
