    Brilliant play from Eto'o, brilliant.

And what the hell was that from Jags?

The hell was that from McGeady?

Love him as well, but don't think he's been very good today. Rodriguez however is having a great game imo.

Should that have been a free kick just outside of the box?

They're bringing an extra attacker on. Taking Malanda off, who I thought was having a very good game, wish we could have gotten him back in the day.

Shame that through ball didn't come through from Naismith. Would have been another great goalscoring opportunity.

Yeees, Naisy! 1-0, a bit against the run of play.

I'd much prefer that as well.
  10. He was Real's second best player last year and he was by far the best player on the pitch against Burnley as well. Might prove to be the best player in the league imo.

Not really playing well so far though, are we?

Distin absent from the bench as well: Everton subs: Robles, Alcaraz, Garbutt, Gibson, Besic, Osman, Atsu. #WBAvEFC
  13. I'm guessing he's signed for Olympiakos because third-party ownership is allowed in Greece. His agent Henrotay now probably owns some of his transfer rights, I'm guessing.
  14. He literally wasn't, mate. He played in behind Lukaku against Chelsea, where Mirallas played on the left and McGeady played on the right. And in both Arsenal games, Lukaku played as high up the pitch or higher as he did.
  15. He didn't play in that role against Chelsea. And in both Arsenal games, he may have been the most central player, but in both games we set out to exploit Lukaku's pace and physicality and he profited of those. He can do a good job of coming into the ball and laying it off and stuff, but he just doesn't have the pace to stretch the defense vertically.
  16. Homegrown players, "irrespective of nationality or age, have been affiliated to the FA or Welsh FA for a period of three seasons or 36 months prior to 21st birthday", so neither qualify. Which means that Lukaku will be homegrown for example, despite being a full international before he even moved to England.
  17. This was the deadline day I was expecting to be honest as we already had all positions covered. Generally, you want two senior players at all positions and three at centre forward if you play one up top and we have that. I'm not convinced by the quality of the cover at right back, but once we signed Hibbert to a new deal, we probably weren't going to sign another right back. Howard (Robles) Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines (Hibbert Stones Alcaraz Oviedo) McCarthy Barry (Gibson Besic) McGeady Barkley Mirallas (Atsu Naismith/Osman Pienaar) Lukaku (Eto'o/Koné) People were keen on a new centre back after our bad start, but I'd rather the coaches show confidence in the players we have and go to work with them to sort those issues rather than that we panic buy someone like Shawcross or Vlaar.
  18. Phil McNulty @philmcnulty · 11 min Martinez remains a huge admirer of Cleverley so can see this one being revisited in January with his contract running down further.
  19. How much goals would Lukaku have scored if he played for Chelsea until he was 23 though?
  20. 7 on top of what we had last year would not be allowed under Premier League rules.
