jofanon
SkySports reporting a loan move for Peter Odemwingie. Never heard of him! Any one seen him play?
Bill
He's a winger come striker who plays for locomotiv, cost them 17 million euros so he should'nt be 2 bad. All depends if we can get him, i think he's Nigerian.
Guest efctaxi
The last thing we need is another African ... surely . http://www.goal.com/en/news/724/premier-le...eter-odemwingie Edited December 27, 2008 by efctaxi
Romey 1878
I think he's in a similar mould to Obinna but I haven't really heard of him.
jamiemaher85
My knowledge of him spans very little further than from football computer games so its hard to guage. The fact we want a loan makes it more viable, but looks as if they only want to sell which pretty much screws us over.
blueblood
One question... is he an international regular with the correct quote of caps? At 27 we won't get any dispensation for him (not that we did with Obinna anyway!!) so unless he's a Nigerian regular he won't get a work permit
jamiemaher85
I'm pretty sure he played during the African Cup of Nations this year. About 90% positive EDIT:- Just looked up, he was in ACN, he was also selected as one of the over age limit players at the Olympics this year. he has also played in Nigeria's last two friendlies. I can't see a work permit being an issue. Edited December 27, 2008 by jamiemaher85

GMorrison183
Caps shouldn't be an issue. He frequents their starting XI. He's more of a forward/winger than a striker, so I'm not positive how he'd fit into the 451. I think he'd be a fish out of water if we left him up top alone, but if he played off of Saha I think it'd be a steal. Not sure if we will be able to get him in the end, while he's not "class" he has the talent to easily be ahead of Ossie in the lineup. holystove
he started out in belgian league.. watched him play for a season, he's the reason an inferior team won the cup in belgium the year he played there. he's an excellent player, very fast, very dangerous in front of the goal.. can play multiple positions (striker, winger either side). imo a better player than Saha. would be great for everton if they got him.
