Bill
Good walking areas, Lanarkshire for the hills, Marsden for the rolling moors, and Stilton for the flatlands. They all have packhorse bridges on their footpaths in Town or Village. ?

Jimmy the blue
Further clue He guest starred in an episode of one of his favourite comedy shows it was filmed on Saddleworth moor..................................whats is his name, the name of the show and why cheeses?...............now that is giving it away
The Beard
John Cleese, guested in an episdoe of Last of the Summer Wine and his name sounds like cheese or cheese and wine maybe. By the way Jimmy your previous two tv connections have actors all from Last of the Summer Wine, Stephen Lewis, Burt Kwouk and Leonard Rossiters missus is in it. That a conicidence by any chance. MikeO
Rather than "Cleese" sounding like "cheese" it's more likely to be this...

It was deliberate to see if anyone was thinking down those lines...................most of Summer Wine is now filmed in Marsden. The true fact about John Cleese is that all his paternal ancestors were Cheese's, the original family name. John Cleese's dad Richard changed his name by deed poll before enlisting in the First World War, presumably he didn't want people sending him up with cheese gags or the trench rats may have eaten him Prize goes to the bearded gent well done mate, nice one PS, the episode he appeared in was about UFO's on the moors Edited March 15, 2009 by Jimmy the blue
