bluegaz74
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/mancity/6831989/Manchester-Citys-Joleon-Lescott-could-be-out-for-two-months-says-Mark-Hughes.html I thought it was a good bit of business getting the money that we did for Lescott - even if the timing sucked. But it's even better if we got £20+million for him and he's still got his dodgy knees! Was it a blessing in disguise?
Blue 250
If Lescotts old or new knee problems are going to cause him to trouble, then yes better that it's Man City's problem and not ours.WE have enough players with knee problems without his. For me a perfect world would have been him and Jagielka at the centre of the Everton defence for the next few years. But I don't blame Lescott for wanting to leave, that extra money from his new contract will come in handy if the knees really give out. I think he gave his all when he was here, and it's probably only a short term injury, so good luck to him. Quite glad it's giving Mark Hughes and City a headache

rubecula
He could get back in the reckoning if he goes to a club that helps him more, like...oh I dunno how about Everton for about half a million? He could be useful cover if one of the ball boys get injured.
