spencey7
Hi all, Apologies in advance if I'm posting this is in the wrong place - I'll keep this brief! A few friends and I are coming down from the Shetland Islands for the Everton-Bolton game on 20th March (our first visit to Goodison!). I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to the cheapest public transport to and fro Liverpool from Scotland? (From either Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow?) Chances are we'll be arriving on Friday 19th March and heading back up on Monday 22nd. I know travelling on a Friday is generally more expensive, which is hardly ideal... I'll leave this here for now - any recommendations or advice would be hugely appreciated. (Really looking forward to the game!)
milky71
try megabus you can get tickets for a tenner each to manchester then get a taxi or bus to liverpool if there is a few of you a taxi wouldn,t cost much. Flights seem to start from £140.00 for direct or £110.00 via belfast
milky71
if you can travel thursday you can get a train from glasgow to warrington for £1.00- £3.00per person and return on monday for £1.00-£5.00 per person. Warrington is less than 20miles from liverpool so taxi's wouldn,t be bad Edited March 3, 2010 by milky71
MikeO
Really good deal with National Express from Glasgow... Early start Monday morning but it's a great price. Enjoy the game.
