The Pain Continues At Home To Norwich .....

- and perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise to learn that the crowd of 31,004 ...

- ... is the lowest ever for a home League match under David Moyes's management

- the last time we had that few for a League match at Goodison was this match, back in Feb 2002

- Walter Smith was the manager then and he had just 6 more matches left in charge of us

- once again we failed to keep a clean sheet at home

- that's now 11 home matches on the run without one, all of them since this campaign began

- the worst run we've ever had at home from the start of a season was 12, back in 1958/59

- it's 8 in the Premier League on the bounce without a clean sheet at Goodison

- that's our 2nd worst ever run at home in the Prem

- the worst is 9 'achieved' back in January to August 2001

- Tim Cahill still can't score - this was his last goal for us, back on December 20th 2010

- with our next game coming on December 21st 2011 it'll be at least a year and a day between goals for Tim

- Leon Osman did score against Norwich and it was our 350th at home under David Moyes in all matches

- it was also Leon's 40th for us in all competitions

- that puts him equal 51st on our all-time goalscorer's list

- he's level with some legends - Dobson, Lineker, Rideout and Unsworth

- Leon's also now made 232 League appearances for us

- that puts him in joint 46th place (with Derek Temple and Joe Royle) on our all-time League appearances list

- he's just behind Tony Hibbert who has now made 234 League appearances

- Hibbo sits in joint 44th place with Howard Kendall on the same list

- he still hasn't scored, of course

- and you can see how he compares to other previous Everton non-scorers in the new 'No Goals' bit of the site

- which is also accessible via the Miscellaneous section

- Tim Howard has now made 160 consecutive Premier League appearances for us

- click here to go to the new 'Consecutive Appearances' section of the site

- it too is also available via the Miscellaneous section

- back to Hibbo, he now has the 29th longest Everton playing career

- he has 10 years and 261 days between his debut back in 2001 and his most recent appearance

- click here to see the full list of longest Everton careers

Always makes for a good read - stats like this. Quite what use they are is another matter!

The only stat that matters.... points ;-)

I'm not sure if you've salvaged a point or lost two of them, but once you're losing with 10 mins left, it does tend to feel like you've salvaged something (but with the pressure at the end... who knows?)

I'm glad I'm not a betting man... Everton are a total lottery at the moment. On a good day you could beat anybody, but even Bolton at home could be a tricky fixture :-(

bluesky we'd have been happy if we'd scored 2 let alone 3 from 30 shots, we scored 1 from our 29 shots!

we went 2 games without hitting the target, we could say that the striker and other attacking mids weren't getting service but then today we had shots galore, double figures on target and still managed only 1 goal.

As you point out, Norwich had 1 shot on target, and scored 1 goal. a well taken goal it was but there's no way we shouldn't have won but we didn't take the chances. i saw all the first half and the last 15, first half hour we were all over them, attacked non stop, played some decent football, especially from Gueye as well as some great corners but still couldn't score. they get the ball in our box once, once ffs and they go in at half time 1-0 up.

overall verdict...a team that needs players or at least 1 player that puts the ball in the goal

saha looked pretty sharp overall today but couldn't find the goal. cahill looked understandably frustrated that he still can't find the net.

Gueye needs to start more games. he looked assured on the ball, took players on, moved it on to others well and was overall very possitive. love to see Moyes start him in the next few games
