Dundee star Kevin McDonald will reject any overtures from Everton in order to stay with the Scottish club.

The 17-year-old is rated as Scotland's brightest young talents and has already caught the eye of SPL champions Celtic.

However, Everton manager David Moyes is understood to be keen on the youngster, and reportedly failed with a £100,000 over the weekend for the midfielder.

Dundee are hoping to keep hold of the starlet, and it appears McDonald is keen to stay.

"The club have made it clear that they want me to stay and I'm more than happy with that decision," McDonald told the Daily Record.

"I agree with the manager who said I am better at Dundee playing first team football rather than in an Under-19 team somewhere."
