Matt
Fucking hell Matt you couldn't of done much tracking back All the time mate, but there were always 10-20s to catch your breath from time to time plus a 15 minute break in between. 5 a side was 100% sprinting for 60 mins. Much harder

Oh, and I did my defensive work just fine thank you Paddock
Idiot_Abroad
Play 11 a side regularly and you'll realise you need to be much MUCH fitter to play that than 5 a side (if that's what you mean by playing indoor) I've played both ways obviously. If I am going to last much more than 2 minutes indoors i need to be in better playing shape than when I play outdoors. They are almost completely different games in the way they are played, so it is a bit hard to compare fitness levels. I just know that I could get off the couch and go play 90 minutes (at a rec level). I would hurt like hell the next couple days, but I could do it. I couldn't pull 3 two-minute shifts indoors without passing out if I weren't physically ready. That's just from my experiences though. I do play an outdoor league once a year in the Fall. The Indoor league just happens to fit my work schedule better.
