agbaby Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 I'm not big into buying team gear to be honest, but I was thinking about getting an Everton baseball cap. I have short hair and my scalp has a tendacy to get sunburned if I'm out for a lengthy amount of time, so I have several caps that I wear, depending on the mood. Anyway, I found one online. As I purchased it, it occurred to me that I don't really recall English people wearing baseball caps all that often. Whether it be BBC shows I watch, live shots of crowds at sporting events or other British things, or even documentaries. I just don't recall many people wearing baseball caps. They're so common in America... I was just wondering if my perception of English people not wearing baseball caps is right? and if so, is there a reason why? Quote
MikeO Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 Fair few do. I have one (EFC) which I've worn for years. more for practical reasons rather than style. Not much hair left and I have to protect my head from the sun; it's been retired now because I have to wear a wide brimmed one to keep the sun off my neck (got one that looks like it should have corks dangling from it ). Gusto181 Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 It's unlikely to be made, but I would LOVE a New Era 59Fifty fitted Everton hat. All blue and just the shield on the front. EPL badge on the back or maybe "est. 1878 ". I could see those selling decenly in the states for each EPL team. Just my $.02 Quote
rubecula Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 Personally I hate them but I have to wear one in work. I do have a few but rather prefer my beanie hats. Quote
