Lowensda
Voted for Jeremy Kyle, because I envisioned his half-time speech and it was hilarious. Lots of eye rolling from everyone in the room. Met Jezza last week, Chester races.
Lowensda
This has always puzzled me about football. How comes the law on assault and battery doesn't apply to footballers? I wonder what would happen if a player who got hit/kicked/bitten would at some point file a police report on the other player Problem is you'd have to roll it out into all sports. So would tackling in Rugby be assault? Would we lose fights in Ice Hockey?

MikeO
Met Jezza last week, Chester races. He's a man in desperate need of a slap. Did you not take the opportunity?
Shukes
This has always puzzled me about football. How comes the law on assault and battery doesn't apply to footballers? I wonder what would happen if a player who got hit/kicked/bitten would at some point file a police report on the other player It does happen. Ferguson went to prison for assault. There have been many players charged with assault. There was a case a few years ago in ameteur football where a player had to pay compensation too. Not enough of it though. MikeO
Walt in goal and Jesus at right back?! Talk about square pegs in round holes... MikeO out! Fair point JC should have been in goal. My bad. Remember the saying from the old days, Jesus saves but Lineker scores on the rebound. Though actually, if we gave away away a pen I could see WW in the taker's face saying, "....now, say my name!". Ballooned over the bar every time after that I reckon.
