"The Belgravia Group have confirmed they are weighing up a potential takeover of Newcastle United.

 

The Jersey-based investment company are thought to have held informal talks with Newcastle officials over acquiring the St James' Park outfit.

 

Newcastle club president Sir John Hall is believed to have been approached by the Belgravia Group over his family's 40 percent stake in the club."

:rolleyes: al bet the toon are in a shit load of debt and freddie knows the team will not perform this year and will finish in the lower part of the table as they carnt attract any players and they are iffie at the back have been for years ;) time to part company ;)

i think bill kenwright is doing a good job i dont want faceless people owning our club why should we just when we are comeing into a good period....dont forget we recieve 28 million at the end of the season...the thing we need is david moyes to buy the right players ....no mor mistakes. :)

put it this way its 28 million more than weve had before....so lets not let faceless people get into our club .....liverpool have embarassed themselves for the last 2 years over sponsors to buy thier club...they have tried every tom dick and harry. :lol:

isnt it £26m even if you come bottom of the league?

 

i dont see it as we will get £26m+, because everyone else will get that too. so prices and wages will go up, but if the contract doesnt continue after the 4 year deal has finished, then alot of clubs will still have players on wages they can not afford with out it.

 

a player worth £8m today will be worth about £14m next summer
