Louis
I'm going to go against the grain. We are currently 8th in the league with 16 games to go. Tim Cahill will be back soon (in my opinion it should be in the captain's role), there will be signings this month, but like always the club wait until the end of the window to sign players to keep the wages down. According to the Echo the Lescott rumours are just that, rumours. He's had one bad game (yesterday) along with the rest of the team with maybe the exception of Vaughan (who come on too late to make any change to the outcome according to many people). I've heard from someone who often goes to into the lounges after the games that Keith Wyness' response to many fans upset with the performance was and I quote "It was only a cup tie". Ticket Prices - should have been lower in my opinion. What happened to the kids go free promise? Still.. the club took in half a million quid yesterday in gate receipts. Romey 1878
Louis why do you think we will make signings? Im beginning to think we won't, I know we are only just into the window like but it's just a feeling.

Mac
NO MORE F*CKING PANIC BUYS Sorry for shouting, but we have fallen into this trap before and come out of it eating a big shit buttie. ATB Mac
Romey 1878
Im not saying we should panic buy, even before the pathetic performance yesterday we needed signings. We need quality signings, not just any old player but it's important for us to bring new blood in now. Moyes can't keep spouting the same shit about the players not being there, they are always there if you are willing to take the risk. Mac
I see where you are coming from Mark, but all I mean is this, let us buy players who will fit into our team, with a decent scouting job done on them. Buying to appease fans smacks of crisis management, a la Newcastle. ATB Mac
Romey 1878
Kroldrup had been scouted for a few years though and look how that turned out. New blood will be good for us, it may give the players a good kick up the arse
Mac
Good management techniques should be dealing with the boot up the arse, as for new blood, that is debateable. We need some spine in the squad, that I agree with, but not at the cost of a quick fix. ATB Mac
StevO
as said by many people on many occasions, Barton would bring somethin to the party we have been missing!
Romey 1878
If we did get Barton I could see him being our captain, not straight away ofcourse
