zequist
Season's not even three months old, and we've just had our fourth managerial change already. Mourinho...Lee...Jol...and now Wigan just pulled the trap door on Hutchings. Teams got some real itchy trigger fingers this season...rumor has it that Sanchez is already on shaky ground at Fulham, too. At the rate this is going we'll be at 50% turnover by Christmas! On the topic of today's firing, apparently it was a surprise only to Wigan management that the team was most likely going to struggle badly without Paul Jewell in charge. I always thought that they and Bolton holding onto their Premiership spots had more to do with their managers than their talent levels, and the fact that both teams have gone in the tank so quickly in the post-Allardyce/Jewell eras hasn't done anything to change my opinion. Bill
Cant see Megson lasting too long either, after the initial surge of one or two results i still see them in the bottom 3. Hutchings was never a good choice was he, at his previous attempt at management got Bradford relegated when he won only 2 of 13 games. aaron
next will either be (imo) - Bruce / sanchez / southgate.
Zed
Its a bit harsh to sack him after getting beat by Chelsea isnt it ??? They only scraped through on the last day last year
Yorkie
I don't think it's just the Chelsea game Zed. They had last their last five matches before the Chelsea one.
Calico
Yup. It's an awful record, but he was never a number one surely? I think Sanchez is next, but Bruce has a new owner hanging over him so it should be interesting. If Bruce did go though, it would be a stupid decision IMO. Randomness
southgate next for me, unless billy davies told the derby board he can keep them up, in which case he might be under pressure. Boro for all thier Attacks on the Yak they dont have anyone who will bag them the goals they need to stay up.
StevO
i think it would be unfair if billy davies got sacked. he always said since he went there it would take three years to get to the prem and it seems he shot himself in the foot getting up two seasons early
jamiemaher85
I think its going to be Southgate next. Can't see Gibson being to forgiving if they don't start moving up the table. Signs never looked good for them when they replaced Yak and Viduka (two strkiers with undoubted quality) with Aliadiere and Mido.
