Bill Posted January 12, 2008 Report Share Posted January 12, 2008 Luton Town FC Just recently had to go into administration so what do the football league do, Immediately deduct them 10 points, and from being up just outside the play offs they now find themselves in the bottom 4 staring at relegation. To make their plight even worse the Administrators are now selling off their assets, in this case the players, Five players have already been sold and another three are about to be sold. Luton, who gained a spirited Draw against the mighty Liverpool in the FA Cup have now got to field what is basicly a youth team eleven to try and win the replay. The Football league should Hang their heads in shame, for surely it is their Job to look after their members and make sure the amount of money thats being handed about in football is better distributed. IMO The money should be better spread to the lower leagues to stop this happening so regularly. God knows how many teams have gone under in the last 10 years or how many more will go under in the next 10. Oh and just a little reminder to Everton FC who think that a nice new stadium will be the making of the club and get rid of all the Debts, Go and have a word with the Coventry City directors and take a walk around their new Tesco Ricoh Arena, because they are also talking about going into Administration, Seems like it didnt do them any good at all. Bill Posted January 12, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 12, 2008 With the plight Luton are in it could even be the mighty Accrington Stanley.............Accrington Stanley who are they, Now manager Kevin Blackwell and two 1st team coaches are having to leave cos they have no say in the running of the team or the football club. Not only are the Football League standing by and letting this happen but they are also kicking them in the teeth by deducting points, which only makes matters worse. StevO Posted January 13, 2008 Report Share Posted January 13, 2008 The FA are shameless, all they care about is what money they can bring in to pay themselves big bonuses and give themselves a pat on the back at how much of a good job they did selling EPL all over the world! well done FA, when these good old fashioned clubs, who have been a part of our greatt game for 100 years, have all been shut down, take a look in the mirror and tell yourself your still doing a good job!
