  1. The only players that should be leaving are dead wood. Gueye, Velios and Duffy. Those players just won't make it IMO.
  2. Would be much more beneficial to provide cover for Mirallas rather than sell him. Pienaar ageing. Deulofeu not ours Mcgeady unproven
  3. *you're I find "snapping hands off for 7th" embarrassing.
  4. No mate, Mirallas is a class act. The magnificent 7th.
  5. Who is worth anything that's not a crucial part of the team. This teams worth very little IMO. The main asset is Barkley after him I don't think any of our permanent players would sell for over £15m (McCarthy) Jags and Baines £12m Squads worth very very little. Edit: Mirallas Coleman boss. £15m+ All crucial players though. I wouldn't bank on any decent funds being made from player sales unless it's a crucial one.
  6. Brett? You call that a headbutt? I'd call it a slight push of heads. Happens all the time on pitch.
  7. He has to go. Very good player. Better than numerous other wide players who've been in the squad.
  8. Ok so he wasn't suggesting that! Therefore I'm out.
  9. He was suggesting that we bluffed United that we had money for McCarthy without having to sell Fellaini.
  10. Biting the hand off for 7th? You buying the DVD then mate.... We finished 6th last season
  11. We defo bluffed United all the way up to £27.5m like.
  12. Hence why we shouldn't even consider re-signing him.
  13. Yeh I agree, we do seem to give the big teams a game these days. We need to turn possession into points though.
  14. If there was money on the table to invest better squad players I think he'd get us in the top 4. However I can't see the glass breaking. I don't think he's a miracle worker. Based on this season (and last), the way it's sloped since Christmas I think we will always operate just outside the top 4 places without that cash injection every summer. There's 6 teams who have much better finances than us and when I say much I mean a huge gap. They can all spend £15-£20m on players and write them off if it doesn't work out. It's happened a good few times over the years.
  15. Doubt he'd come here. Bigger clubs and all that.
  16. This definitely needs to go in your new thread mate.
  17. Instead of using that phrase he could quite easily have said. "I say it as it is" or something more appropriate. I don't know about America but that word is racist in this country.
  18. No matter how you try to dress it up there was hundreds of others things you could have said. "Calling a spade a spade and you are that spade" was inappropriate IMO. If I was black I would have taken it that way. "Spade" is a racial slur and that's what you called me. It's a public forum and can be conceived in different ways. After looking into the phrase yes it has been a common phrase for hundreds of years. But in the last 50+ years it's has been associated with racism and spade is definitely a racist slur.
  19. Back on topic. At the end of the day I don't think we've improved at all. It's a results game and of late we've been turned over by those teams above us at a crucial stage in the season. Yes there has been a more eye catching Everton but in terms of results we have stagnated. We must aim for a 5th place finish but that is far from set in stone just yet. We could end up 7th. Which I would see as disappointing. Don't get me wrong I'm all for giving him time and I think he's the right man. It's the money issue! That's the next level in my opinion. We all want to see success and that's cups and even champions league qualification. Also let me get one thing straight. I'm not trying to WUM anyone on here, if people think I have I apologise. It's my views on the team. The financial future and were we are heading. I just don't see it. For me Martinez has had a better squad available to him this season. Of course that's my opinion.
  20. If you called me a spade and I was black I'd consider it racist.
