The last 10 minutes of the first half was the worst I've seen us play at Goodison this season.
We really are struggling and something is not right. Better teams would have finished us off today. However we are grinding full points from bad performances which is always an encouraging sign.
The problem we have at the moment is the full backs aren't getting forward enough. They are being pressed back by the opposition. It's been worked out and we need to change it from time to time and that's the two sitting midfielders.
Play Barkley next to McCarthy or Barry. We don't need two defensive players in the middle now the fullbacks are being pushed back!
what the hell does this Jon Woods fella do anyway. Kenwright and Earl get the brunt of the shit whilst this fella sits on near 20% and hides in the shadows. Another leech
You nailed it mate. You say it as though we're top of the league, undefeated.
What's positive about getting thumped 4-0 at Anfield? 4-1 at the Emirites? I'm yet to see any real emotion. The only thing I see is scripted answers from a textbook. It's as though he's being interviewed for a job. I find his press conferences boring and predictable. But that's just me. I actually can't watch them anymore they are the same every week.
I find it hard to watch more than 5minutes of his interviews.
Everything seems robotic. Says all the right things. Sometimes you need a bit of negativity to be believed. Also he never seems phased by defeat, never angry or arrogant.
I guess that's just his nature.
Your Bold,
It's always been that way. Kenwright has always given transfer profits back to the manager. The odd occasion when Arteta was sold it didn't happen.
He's not warning anyone. That's the way the club operates and always will under this board.
As above, opinion on how it will affect league for (if it will at all)
Personally for me a lot depends on the summer. But with the lack of a striker and needing to invest big in there I doubt we'll have enough money to expand the squad with quality for me an 8th placed finish next season.
You get the comments like only lost 5 this season. So what we've drew 9. Might as well have lost 6 more and won 3. Yeh, I get goal difference but that's not the point, draws are nearly as bad as a loss in terms of points dropped.
If we want the best deals we need to be in the champions league and winning things year in year out. We also need to bring big names to the club. No more no less
Yeh I moan about both, but if I moan about on I'm wumming.
As I say we need to become a more investable brand. The stadium doesn't help one bit. It's no wonder the top end clubs get better deals than us. It's about being on the big stage winning things and everyone wanting to sponsor us. Companies out bidding each other.
I'm sure that was the best deal on the table. I'm not saying it would have been the best if we'd have looked round but nobody knows what offers there were except the club and there is no doubt they'll have taken the best one.
I don't know much about Sunderlands deal but Newcastle are certainly a decent brand. They also have an owner with fingers in a lot of pies. Its not what you know it's who.
Good side, should be 3 points in our back yard though. We need to put these teams to bed if we are going to clinch 5th. No more draws. They are useless. Drawing 3 games is only as good as winning one and losing two.
