  1. Oh well. Tosun and Baines's pens were shite, Baines can have a pass but not sure what we pay Tosun's wages for. Fabulous fight back 2nd half though, we can hold our head up high and more of the same Saturday we'll stuff Arsenal. Longer term, whoever comes in I just don't know what they do about some of the overpriced overpaid shite we call players. Iwobi, Keane first half, Bernard who was so bad he got pulled instead of Iwobi... Just so many players on our books who individually are not up to scratch. It doesn't matter who is in charge, what tactics you play, our recruitment continues to be very, very worrying
  2. I'd forgotten football could be a pleasurable experience
  3. Shit!! Did you see that!! Leighton Baines, Everton legend!!
  4. Have to say I've been very, very impressed by Holgate again. Looks so at home in the middle
  5. Arrgghh fabulous from Kean, DCL's leap was superb but couldn't keep it down!
  6. I can't believe how fucking awful Iwobi has been tonight.
  7. What must he think having to share a pitch in a blue shirt with some of these clowns?
  8. Think I've seen enough this half to add Iwobi to the long and depressing list of absolute dross we've spunked a fortune on since Moshiri came in. An utterly pathetic performance from him.
  9. Are you suggesting they're not the third best team in the league or that Maddison and Ndidi don't play in midfield most weeks for them??
  10. They're not carrying utter shit like Keane or Iwobi either... Fuck sake Mina has to score
  11. What the flying fuck is Keane doing there?? He literally just walks off Evans! How is he stealing a living as a footballer he is utter fucking dross
  12. Two CBs stood on Vardy on edge of six yard box. Where's the communication?
  13. Nope. It's not enough to be technically gifted. Not by a long shot. Klopp and Pep are not just successful because they buy the most talented players. They single out the most driven.
  14. You've completely contradicted yourself here. The best two teams in the league, who you rightly point out have incredibly gifted players from a technical stand point, are what they are precisely because their players don't 'simply run around'. They play with calculated aggression and a burning desire to beat whoever is put in front of them. That's what guts and passion mean, that's what defines winners, that is what managers like Pep and Klopp demand no matter how gifted a player is, and why someone like Ozil is playing for Arsenal, not Man City or Liverpool. Passion and commitment can and does beat talent when talent isn't up for the fight. That's usually the key thing that separates successful pros from the child protégés who never quite make it. Desire is everything, especially at the top.
  15. Wish Usmanov would stop pissing around at Arsenal and just come and bank roll us into the next stratosphere!
  16. Bizarre reports linking Newcastle and Sheff Utd with him in papers this morning. £14m? Surely got to be complete BS, we'd be mad to sell this lad.
  17. Customs barrier?? He's from Italy ffs not Outer Mongolia!
  18. A) on what are you basing the judgement that Kean is "one of our brightest prospects?" His transfer fee? He's done fuck all since he's come here apart from get disciplined for missing a couple of team meetings, which shows immaturity and a lack of respect for team discipline. if getting hauled off in any circumstances ruins any part of his career he hasn't got the character to be a top level footballer. It has happened to better players than him, e.g. Mata, Matic.
  19. I don't think those stats suggest Niasse ran around like an excited puppy though. They suggest he got into the game and won his duels. If anything Kean was the one who was all headless chicken but lost every single battle with an opponent. Sadly the lad looks out of his depth tactically and physically - a little like Klaasen but for different reasons. Again, my concern is not so much with the player but the fact that our recruitment may well have pulled off another howler.
  20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50802290 Stats show Niasse did more in his few minutes that Kean did in 18m. We needed someone who was going to help out winning challenges.
