Yep. It just comes down to people's expectation level. It's a natural human instinct I think. If someone was skint and got told they would get 10 million quid, but ended up only getting 1 million quid, they'd feel disappointed....looking at what they 'lost' as opposed to gained. Agree with some of this and some of Matts views. They have a good manager in, but I highly doubt that at interview they said to him 'we are going to sell Shaw, Lambert, Lovren, Chambers, Lallana, maybe more.....'. I think Koeman will be feeling a bit pissed just now. Southampton have a good recent history for bringing through quality and selling on. That's always been there model. I think this shows it doesn't matter how rich the people are who own the club. Mostly these guys are businessman. And the name of the game in business is to make money. As much as possible. And that's how the owners will see it....'we got player x for 8.5mill last year, now we can get 20mill for him, yes please'. There getting shit loads of money for players they've spent the football equivalent of naff all on. On the flip side, they might surprise us and spend a whole lot on new talent...although reading an interview today with their chief exec, talking about having the youth to fill the gaps, I highly doubt it.

Still not panicking! From that last echo article I read that we need 2 more players before the start of the season, 1 needs to be a number 9. Then more before the window closes. We'll see who comes. Pretty exciting really, because you just know that someone is coming. But another Lukaku loan? Not for me. I e season fair enough. More than that and it just feels wrong. The bit I'm really interested in is when the Window closes, doing the sums on what we spent, what we should have had etc. Just to get a picture of how secure, or not, we are financially.

Anyway....back to transfers. I'm pleased that we are adding these potential 'stars' to our team. I think we all know that's the market we deal in. We have good recent history of plucking out some gooduns. And I believe Bobby is going to implement a great footballing culture through the club. I am also sure we will add that goal scoring striker to the team. We don't all agree on much, but I think we all agree that we have been missing a 'figure head' striker for years.

Because it can take days before fully realising how long? Usually the manager is answering straight after a game or the next day. Soft tissue is quite a broad term...muscle, ligament, tendon. Most footy injuries are soft tissue. Basically he's saying 'worry not, he ain't broke his leg....'
