  1. Ha! Never thought the day would come that I'd laugh, in a funny good way, at one of your posts! Brilliant.
  2. Might be one of few here...but judging by some links so far, Rodwell, Moses, Cleverly...I'd be happy with them in the squad so long as the deals were right. Of course not happy with they were the only players. But those plus a couple of key quality signings would be cool with me.
  3. I've never been arsed about socks! Or shorts tbh. Its always been the tops that I look at, and more recently that badge! To be fair, I haven't bought a top for a few years now. It's been a protest at the prices!! But this year I think I will.
  4. Great signing. Was a key player for us last season. And will be again. He looks after himself. Like Distin. So his age is not a problem for me. The length of his contract means stability for him and a successful team. Win win for both. A few of our youngsters will learn a lot from him and his experience. That alone adds a lot of value to our club. A rare, model professional.
  5. Getting these sort of key players tied down on lengthy contracts excites me just as much as a new signing. Really looking forward to seeing an even better Coleman next season.
  6. Gaaaaaaawd, footy fans kick up a fuss about anything don't we?!
  7. No need to be. The 'best' players being signed are well out of our price range anyway. We have to wait for the big spenders to buy their top targets, then like vultures go after their cast offs!
  8. But do we need a big target man? This one up top stuff, does it have to be a big target man? I might be wrong here, but my impression of big target men is that you pound the ball up to them and they either flick it on or hold it up to bring other players in??? But we don't play that way? Or do we? I always think that the sort we need is a pacey, agile racing snake! Or something like that! As I've said all along, I also wouldn't be too upset if Lukaku did come. I am edgey if we blow most of our budget on him. So I'm in the 50-50 club. But essentially for me, the lad needs to find some focus. And his parent club needs to help him with that by either moving him on, or giving him a go. A 3rd term out on loan is not going to benefit his mentality. We won't know until Belgium are done in the WC.
  9. I'm going to stick up for Lukaku a bit here (who started reading that and thought I was going to say cotto?! Pfffft). I think at this world cup he will be feeling very frustrated. He doesn't know if Chelsea want him. Probably doesn't know much about his options. Wants to impress in the tournament to put himself in the window. Belgium have played quite conservatively. It isn't quite going to plan. I'm not surprised he's looking a bit passed off. On the flip side, how can it be that he will cost £20+ million but that Origi kid will only be about 5 million?
  10. If you read them in that way, then that's up to you. From first hand experience, I'm telling you why people get so pissed off with you. And clearly that's just not me. If you can't take that, then that's your problem. You can throw whatever mud you want at me, but at least check yourself too.
  11. I think after reading your nice little PM, I ain't in the mood to 'joke' with you. Get to fuck, and take your smart arse, smarmy, cocky attitude with you. I'm done.
  12. Actually after trying to be helpful in those last few posts, trying to make you see why people go against you. I take it all back. I've just realised I have a PM sent to me a couple of hours ago from one MiguelCotto titled 'Troll'. I open it, and it says 'WUM'. What an absolute childish waste of space.
  13. I'm man enough to say 'ok, fair enough, someone used the word lynch pin. My bad. I was wrong'. It's not a problem, we all get things wrong, some of them minor and not worth a mention. But hey ho. You can learn a lot from that approach.
  14. £30 mill for Shaw. £50mill for Luiz. See, this extra TV money is worth shit all because the prices are crazy. These fees now set the benchmark for other clubs to compare. It's getting worse.
  15. So it was one person as opposed to 'people'? I'm being picky of course. But picky seems to be the theme.
  16. I wont make you find anything...because I'm not interested. Peace n out.
  17. See, honestly Cotto, I've got no interest in going into it in depth. Honestly haven't. It's not my 'argument'. BUT..you have done it again...nobody has said he is the lynch pin, or anything similar. See, because your pissed off, you start saying things that nobody else has said, and imply things that aren't true. I can see a number of people rolling eyes and shrugging shoulders with what you have just said about Mccarthy. Tempted myself! Like I said, it's good to take a step back sometimes.
  18. I expect a full strength Belgium to best the U S of A. However, you just don't know...Some very surprising results going on.
  19. Origi looks class by the way. Not to digress on the lukaku topic any further!!!
  20. I think this proves the point though. From what I've read, no one who you are up against (is it 5 or 6, I lost count! And I'm not included...put me in the neutral corner!) is saying Coleman did not deserve his accolades. He did. He got them, so he must have. He took us all by surprise last season. Probably himself too. The thing is, you are so hell bent on your own view(s) that you miss the point of what others are saying. You misinterpret their comments. Then you get all defensive and go into a bit of a 'child' mode...short sulky answers, sarcasm, ignore questions, throw insults, copy other people's words etc. And then it just gets messy. Sometimes we all have to step back, take a breath, reflect...and start again.
