Yeah, exactly. I don't think the club made that much of a mess over it. I always believed that the noise was more about the fake consultation and Elstone and the board. Noise was made and the bandwagon got rolling. By trying to include what the fans wanted, we've kind of gone backwards with it. But heyho, so long as the club exists then I'm happy.

Martinez brought in 9 players with first team intentions last season. I'm not sure we will see that many this time, as unless someone leaves, we don't need another 9. Plus, from some of the things he has been saying, we will see more young players in the first team. So maybe 5 or 6 newbies plus some promoted youth. I have no worries at all. It will all come out once he returns from his world cup commentary, having chatted up a load of targets!

Brilliant. Brings back how much I enjoyed last season. The football leading up to many of those goals was immense. So many players had a meaningful impact. In every position. Sometimes, while debating on what we think we know and who is better etc like the deluded footy fans that we are, we actually don't see what is really happening on the pitch. Brilliant season. Makes me look forward to the next one even more.

As said earlier, it's just an idea for negotiating. That's how it works right? I mean, someone asks for 5k for their car, you don't go in with a 5k offer do you? Play it and see what you can get.
