  1. Agree with that too. Both the old one and Nike points. When the club said they would change it again, I thought they'd just go back to the old one. That's a classic crest.
  2. The bandwagon was well and truly jumped on. I'm not sure of the solution though as I can't see this crest lasting too long. Hmmmmmmm.
  3. Definitely. It was a bit embarrassing for everyone to be fair. Hopefully get used to the new one, but it does look strange on fixture lists next to other club crests.
  4. Yeah, exactly. I don't think the club made that much of a mess over it. I always believed that the noise was more about the fake consultation and Elstone and the board. Noise was made and the bandwagon got rolling. By trying to include what the fans wanted, we've kind of gone backwards with it. But heyho, so long as the club exists then I'm happy.
  5. Yeah. Whenever I think of it, I still can't see us being able to spend £20-£25 million on one player...not yet.
  6. Wonder if Martinez is telloing Kenwright to get this one wrapped up.
  7. Not too keen on the new badge. Too much going on in a small space. Last season's was fine to me. I'm not someone who is that bothered by 'tradition' as I fully accept that things move on and have to change. That's life, and by nature we evolve. But I support the club. Everything else is secondary. Bit late, but that's my 5p worth!!!
  8. Martinez brought in 9 players with first team intentions last season. I'm not sure we will see that many this time, as unless someone leaves, we don't need another 9. Plus, from some of the things he has been saying, we will see more young players in the first team. So maybe 5 or 6 newbies plus some promoted youth. I have no worries at all. It will all come out once he returns from his world cup commentary, having chatted up a load of targets!
  9. Brilliant. Brings back how much I enjoyed last season. The football leading up to many of those goals was immense. So many players had a meaningful impact. In every position. Sometimes, while debating on what we think we know and who is better etc like the deluded footy fans that we are, we actually don't see what is really happening on the pitch. Brilliant season. Makes me look forward to the next one even more.
  10. I like Irvine. But this isn't going to go well. Good luck to him. He's going to need it.
  11. Aussies are holding their own here. Slow start but considering they are the lowest ranked team in the comp, they've rallied quite well. Good to see Cahill is still a nuisance.
  12. You forgot to mention the loan fee we have already paid them...... Mmmmmmmmmwahahahaha!
  13. I never thought fellaini was too bad. Be interesting to see how many MOTM votes he used to get on here.
  14. Not sure of the link there, but thumbs up and all that. Expect all sorts of rumours in the coming weeks. Honestly, I think he is out of our price range unless by some miracle we have 40-50 million to spend.
  15. Thank fuck for that. What an absolute waffle. Guess that's the beauty of forums. The weather's too nice and too much to do to respond in any other way!!! And he ain't coming anyway!!! Ha. As for you Dunc. Well, it's just you.
  16. I always trust Robs judgement, so if he wants Lukaku that much then fair play.
  17. As said earlier, it's just an idea for negotiating. That's how it works right? I mean, someone asks for 5k for their car, you don't go in with a 5k offer do you? Play it and see what you can get. The Luiz deal was great for Chelsea, as you say. What if a great deal could be pulled off in Evertons favour for Lukaku? It won't happen if you just go in with what they want. Lay down what you want, and see where you end up. In that case, it's not idiotic and it is not a ridiculous assumption. I find it a bit frustrating that one persons opinion can be trashed, yet you finish with the classic IMO!!! The great get out clause...The 3 letters that say 'don't come back at me bitch, you can't do that now I've IMO'd'!!! Ha. Anyway, where I fully agree is that he ain't coming here anyway. I've also said it several times. So we are square with that one!
  18. Should see plenty of young players get game time in the league and europa cup. Hopefully those youngsters turn out to be the ace up our sleeve.
  19. Oh hell yeah....The sound of common sense. It pops up every so often!!!
  20. If we could be guaranteed 30 goals + champs league...I'd take that. Bit of a wild card to call though.
  21. It's called negotiating. You go with it and see what happens. After all, no one would pay 50million for David Luiz. Oh.......
  22. Football is financial idiocy. It would also be quite idiotic of us to splash out more on that same loanee. Where's our medium-long term gain? It's just another quick fix. Of course, that is all based on the much talked about 5million loan fee. I mean, say if Chelsea do loan him out again. That's 3 seasons in a row. They would most probably then have recouped the fee they paid for him. And could still sell him on for 20 odd million?! That seems crazy. Although after this upcoming season he'll only have 1 year left on his contract???? Fee would reduce quite a lot. He ain't coming anyway!!!
  23. Go on Newty lad! That's Keith Newton yeah? No word of a lie, my Dad's called Keith Newton. Although we are a family of Evertonians, I'm not sure he was named after him.
