  1. They won 3-0. A game away from Wembley, two games away from promotion.
  2. The first leg of the promotion playoffs is tonight. Tranmere take on Aldershot away. Three matches away from being back in the Football League. I hope they can do it.
  3. I'm not sure plastering it across the back page of a national newspaper is helpful.
  4. There's an election for a Mayor of the Liverpool City Region (not Merseyside) in two days. Does anybody actually care? I've not seen it mentioned anywhere.
  5. I enjoyed it enough to the see the sequel. There's something about it (the original) that I just don't like, I watched it again on the BBC the other night in preparation for the sequel. It's just too dense and almost a slog to get through despite being only two hours long. I'm on board until the Knowhere scene then I find it becomes a bit boring despite a lot going on at the time. Have you tried the game yet?
  6. X-men: X-Men, X-Men 2, Logan - No need for Origins, Wolverine or First Class or Apocalypse Not linked: Deadpool - I didn't enjoy it that much, some great bits of humour ruined followed up with jokes that don't land. TJ Miller is awful, every scene he was in dragged. Marvel Cinematic Universe: Recommended - Iron Man, Captain America, Avengers, Iron Man 3, Captain America Winter Soldier (2), Civil War, Doctor Strange, there's not really a bad film in the MCU although most are skippable. There's a real drop in quality between Iron Man and its sequel. I can't really recommend the Thor films, dull as dishwater. You can watch Daredevil and Jessica Jones after Avengers. DC: Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman (Don't bother with Suicide Squad) These are recentish standalone films based on comics/graphic novels that I recommend: Dredd Kingsmen Snowpiercer (not sure if it's even out im the UK, I watched it on Netflix when the region switch cheats worked. It was fantastic until the final scene.)
  7. I liked it too. Nebula was annoying though, would it kill her to not to grunt?
  8. Something for @Matt here. He should recognise Rhona.
  9. Josh Sargeant is an impressive player. I wonder if he has an EU passport.
  10. Joey Barton has been banned for 18 months and fined £30k for betting on games. http://www.thefa.com/home/news/2017/apr/26/joey-barton-banned-260417
  11. Stonebridge Cross has a new development in store. http://www.shdlogistics.com/news/site-earmarked-for-everton-fcs-new-stadium-to-be-developed-for-warehouse
  12. That's what we call school bullies in the UK.
  13. It's a portmanteau for string trimmer. I found myself spending an hour or so watching This Old House on Youtube the other night. After a while you notice how the homeowners are fed questions to ask, some are terrible actors.
  14. Finally. Someone else has said that Get Out was overrated! I noticed that there's a drama on ITV tonight about Rhys Jones' murder and the prosecution of those responsible. It has had the input from the parents, I'll probably watch it.
  15. On Channel 4's The Last Leg, they referred to a source that suggested this would happen. They reckon that Labour will be talking up how Conservatives will win to encourage Labour voters to vote while Conservatives will be talking down their chances to encourage Conservatives to vote.
  16. My school rule was no shorter than a #2 and no longer than shoulder length.
  17. A Norwegian linesman was painted by an infuriated supporter.
  18. When I was selling my VW Polo, someone had inserted my VIN for another Polo being a write-off. I had to have the database updated before being able to sell the car.
  19. You know, I completely forgot about that. In one of them, the first thing she did was jump on a trampoline. It reminded me that it was a Michael Bay film.
  20. There's a new book out by Bloomberg's football finance reporter Tariq Panja. He says that Michael Tabor is the person behind Vibrac.
  21. Transformers was always nonsense. That said, Bay messed up the Turtles movies. April O'Neil did not have the Turtles as childhood pets.
  22. Look away, Romey. So this guy was USA's goalkeeper at the Montaigu Tournament. He was listed as being an Everton goalkeeper, he was previously at Weston FC in Florida, USA. On this page, he lists his favourite team as Everton. He's seemingly entitled to a Danish (and Brazilian) passport so could be joining this summer when he turns 16 (the minimum age for cross-border transfers for footballing reasons under FIFA regulations/EU law).
  23. His dad has been on Bosnian TV saying he will sign for Arsenal or AC Milan.
