  1. The anime was emo! I remember watching the first episode and the guy goes on an angst-ridden rant.
  2. Romania's national team manager complained that a country's newspaper was only fit to wrap fish in. One of the journalist's took umbrage with that and brought a fishing rod to the press conference so that he could catch his own in future.
  3. Jean-Michel Aulas, Lyon president: "It's a tough draw, but good to face great football nations. It helps to keep the players fully focused."
  4. Group E with Lyon (France), Atalanta (Italy) and Apollon (Cyprus).

  7. It's still the best thing on tv but it's lost a certain something and I can't put my finger on what it is.
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/40915921 It would kind of make a mockery of the Liverpool bid when events are taking place in Manchester and Liverpool.

You probably wouldn't be saying that if you were still in the UK. Every website you visit is now logged and kept by the ISP for a year. If you visit a torrent site, it's on record. It's quite scary. I'll admit, I hadn't heard of this team before. I hadn't heard of Metalist Kharkiv before either and that was a really enjoyable draw. For Sky customers, here are the links to record the game and build-up. HD link - http://tv.sky.com/tv-guide#/programme/detail/6534/648 SD link - http://tv.sky.com/tv-guide#/programme/detail/6272/527
  13. The Africa Cup of Nations is now going to take place during June and July. It's also been expanded from 16 to 24 teams, following UEFA's example.
  14. This has reminded me that "to table" something has a different meaning in the UK and US. In UK, it's to put it on the table to discuss it. In US, it's to put it on a table out of the way and delay discussing it. It's funny how the same language develops.
  15. If a solution is "out of the box", do you consider it to be a standard or creative solution ? I've always presumed it meant something akin to Ikea furniture. i.e. ready to build. I heard the expression used today to mean a solution from outside of regular parameters.
  16. Ed Sheeran. :shaking fist: I think we've seen the end of those days after the American backlash against Ramsay scene with Sansa.
  17. He's just joined the coaching staff of Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia.
  18. I missed this originally, we've signed a Polish U17 international Pawel Zuk. He signed a two year extension. Apparently signed for around £90,000 from Oldham. He originally agreed to join under Martinez. http://manchesterowcynews.co.uk/16-nastoletni-pawel-zuk-z-manchesteru-podpisal-kontrakt-z-evertonem/
  19. I've just watching this on YoutTube: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04t3x61 An Evertonian MMA fighter shows what he goes through to drop 7 kilograms in time for a scale measurement prior to a fight.
  20. Is he going to get a steering wheel for the racing games?
