  1. Confident of another away win, think we are to strong all over the pitch for them.
  2. Owen would be useful as a squad player thats my point. Kendall also had players of the ilk of Alan Harper, Paul Wilkinson, Paul Power, none really popular with the fans but all contributed to the team when called upon. Owen would never be a 1st team regular, but if brought in I could see why.
  3. Apparantly Fulham have rejected a bid from the shite for Dempsey
  4. I remember when Everton finally signed Peter Reid, quite alot of Evertonians were up in arms because he had refused to sign for us previously, because we didnt match his astronomic wage demands (demands that Arsenal also refused to match). They also questioned his fitness as Reid was injury prone, he did have long spells out at Everton too. But at the end of the day he did bring quality to the team. Im sure if Owen signed, if called upon to play, he would be a goal threat, as I posted earlier I think he would be a usful squad member. No matter what the player, there are always critics and fans, thats life!
  5. Pay as you play deal, we would be getting experience, and a proven goal scorer. I would welcome him to the squad. Hope this comes off.
  6. Hoping Kevin has a full and speedy recovery. Great memories, so many quality free-kicks. Teams were terrified of giving away fouls around their box.
  7. Does anyone know if Im right in thinking that if Mirallas passes his medical, agrees terms and signs for us over the weekend, and is registered on Monday, that he could be in the squad for Monday night. I was informed that players have to be registered at least 1 hour prior to kick-off. Can anybody shed any light on this?
  8. Fingers crossed for this to happen, hope Felli has a good chat to him and encourages him to sign
  9. Im delighted he is back, he should have been offered the same pay deal as Arteta in the first place. Thats all history now, lets look forward to the future.
  10. Pienaar made a massive difference to our play last season, and improved us in the final third with his assists and goals. Pete O you just dont like him which is your perogative. I think the majority of blues who go the game and even those who dont will be pleased to have him back.
  11. Just glad to have him back, fingers crossed we might be able to add another addition to the squad and Im looking forward to hopefully seeing Barkley and Duffy playing more. Have a more positive feeling for the coming season than I have had last few years.
  12. I would like Vellios to get more playing time, and Moyse to be more astute with his substitutions instead of waiting for last 5mins when we need to shake things up and change things round.
  13. Just read on bluekipper that he is playing for Spurs tonight at Stevenage
  14. Love the animation Ten! Have to agree we have had some decent players from MU but also agree they have their share of crap too. Hope the Richardson rumour is just that and stays a rumour, would rather spend any surpless cash on Donavon, all gone a bit quiet on that one.
  15. A friend of mine who is a journo on the Daily Mail, has said we are interested in Kieran Richardson and its reported in the Northern Post or Echo cant remember which. Apparently Moyes is a big Richardson fan.
  16. If he could way in with 15-20 goals a season I would be happy! Cant see it coming off myself though, it would be nice to be in a position were we could carry a luxury player.
  17. Read a rumour on Bluekipper that we are interested in Defoe, it was on Sky Sports News that Reading have put a £5m bid in, the rumour on Bluekipper says we are offering Rodwell for Defoe and Pienaar. Could be interesting if true.
  18. Dont you think he would improve our squad/team Pete?
  19. His fee might not be as much as we all seem to fear, I personally think he is a must signing, the football improved so much with him in the side. We attacked teams with a purpose and looked a totally different side from prior to his loan. Bring him back ASAP. He and Jelavic are the main reason I renewed my season ticket, with the prospect of a couple of more players coming in and some of our dead wood going out, we could be in for an interesting season.
  20. Hi everyone, joined the site yesterday and I have enjoyed reading the comments and banter. I have been a Blue all my life and for the coming season I have swaped my Park End seat for one in the Main Stand (eye sight not so good now and I struggled to see the Gladwys Street goal). Hope to have many more trips to wembley with more favourable results, and join in on this site as often as poss. Keep up the interesting postings and heres hoping for a successful campaign ahead!
  21. I am just hoping Moyse stays, cant see anyone doing a better job.
  22. All ifs and buts regarding DM going to Spurs, may not happen. Spurs may want a manager with a proven track record of winning things. I am not having ago at Moysie here. I think Moyes is a very good manager, and like Pienaar may be suited to Everton. Personally I would like Moyes and Pienaar here. The thing is who ever takes over at Spurs may want Pienaar in his squad and who could blame him.
  23. Where did this £6 million fee come from? I would welcome Peanuts back with open arms personally, Im sure Spurs are resigned to losing him. Cant see Spurs wanting to keep an unhappy player on decent wages, warming the bench because Bale is first choice for left mid. Harry has said in the press that Peanuts is unlucky because of Bale playing in his position. We may have to pay more than we sold him for, but hopefully common sense will prevail. Harry knows SP wants away, and he knows he wants a Goodison return. Makes you wonder why Harry signed Peanuts in the first place though!
