  1. Nevermind I think we've found a place in Knotty Ash. We'll probably sign a 6 month contract. Is it a good area by the way?
  2. Fellaini and Jelavic both look like they have strong personalities, but as long as they are passionate for the right reasons I'm happy.
  3. So I thought I'd ask for help here. I'm moving to Liverpool on 27 October and we're trying to find a place to live. We already know which areas we would like to live in - Mossley Hill, Allerton, Aigburth (although if a good deal comes along somewhere else we will consider it). Anyway my question is... Other than Gumtree does anyone know where to find private properties for rent? I would prefer dealing directly with the owners than going through an agency. And of course if any of you personally know about an available place somewhere please let me know. My wife is in Liverpool at the moment but she's only staying for a couple of days and we only managed to get one viewing arranged, today (a house in Wavertree). Doesn't look very promising but better than nothing...
  4. I went to google it after I read your post. Very weird problem he had!
  5. Don't know where to buy them from but may I suggest any Italian kit from the 90s.
  6. A time limit to get out of your own half? Might make Barcelona's matches more interesting
  7. No no no no no no no. If this is true, please be back for the derby at least
  8. There was a Portuguese player playing in the Switzerland who lost his finger while celebrating a goal. His wedding ring got caught in the fence he had climbed to celebrate with the fans, and he didn't notice it when jumping back down... You can imagine the rest. Ouch. He was booked as well for taking too long with his "celebration". True story! http://www.guardian....wsstory.sport12
  9. Yeah it was Canizares, it was a couple of weeks before a WC as well if I recall correctly. He was set to be Spain's number one for the tournament...
  10. Haha yeah but they were still relatively good at the time. Now they're crap and in huge debt so there might be some hope. Although according to transfermarkt Rui Patricio is valued at 17 million Euros... A bit steep then.
  11. And I'm a fan of Mignolet too, would only strengthen the Belgian connection as well which cannot be bad.
  12. Jack Butland always impresses me whenever I watch Birmingham, however he'll probably be overpriced as he's young and English. My Portuguese bias says Rui Patricio. He's one of the first names in Portugal's teamsheet these days and it looks like the GK position will be his for a few years. He's already brought us a stability in goal we hadn't seen since Vitor Baia. Sporting's number 1 for a few seasons already as well... and only 24. Sporting are in financial turmoil at the moment, so although he's one of their most important players I could see a good deal being struck there for both clubs...
  13. I was going to suggest this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radja_Nainggolan Belgian as well! His wiki page says he's at Milan but as far as I know he's still playing for Cagliari? Not sure if Milan bought him and loaned him back to them or something.
  14. He retired 2 or 3 years ago. I think he's worked at Inter since but not sure what his role is there. He's always representing Inter in the CL draws. I always wanted him to move to the Premier League as well but it wasn't to be!
  15. Yeah that happened to me as well with Liverpool fans since I joined the internet.
  16. I'm actually living in Bulgaria now for close to 3 years! Moving to Liverpool later this month, I will arrive just a few hours before the derby
  17. You should have grown up in Portugal. 90% (not exaggerating) of the people in my school were Benfica fans. We're 350 km away from Lisbon... I support my local team Beira-Mar, and in a school 30 minutes away from their stadium I was their only fan as far as I know. Sure, some kids "support" them, as a 2nd team. A home match with 26 or 27k away fans in a 30k stadium is quite the frustrating experience, especially when most of them are from your own city and even go as far as making fun of their own city's club. Nothing better than when we beat one of those big clubs though, even if it only happens once every couple of years.
  18. If we're going to spend millions in a player from the Portuguese league then let's try James Rodriguez Or, much more realistically, Eder from Braga. Now that is a very good striker, just made his debut for Portugal last month as well.
  19. I seriously hope we don't go in for Cardozo. He needs 10 chances to score a goal, is slightly faster than a snail and is extremely overpriced. He is also Benfica's penalty taker usually which boosts his goal tally (they get a lot of penalties ). As for the positives, well he has a sweet left foot yeah, decent free kick and penalty taker (he just hammers them in...) and is good in the air. Nothing there we really miss at the moment, especially not for a ridiculous amount. Benfica have been trying to offload him for a couple of years for 15 million Euros +, but no team has been stupid enough yet. He's 29 already as well.
  20. I've pre-ordered it a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait, my FM 2012 Everton save is getting boring with Everton dominating everything
