  7. Liverpool City Council have shown Everton that they can still influence Everton's future, regardless if they want to sell out to Knowsley. Everton were attempting to acquire planning permission to build 74 family homes, with the money earned likely to head straight to the Destination Kirkby project. LCC rejected the proposal citing increased traffic to the area as a major problem. The land in question is at the old Bellefield site, now redundant of use after the move to Finch Farm. The land will remain empty until the club can find a new way to use it, and presumably make money off it. Paul Williams, a representative from Everton's property agents Savills, was quoted as saying: ''The site is now redundant since the move to Finch Farm. ''If this application is refused it will remain vacant.' ''Everton have every right to realise the worth of their assets. The club need to realise a return on the site and will appeal any refusal.' LCC were never likely to cooperate and bend the rules for Everton, after all the bad press the club has sent in the councils direction, over the controversial move to Kirkby. The city council objected to the Kirkby project last week, along with all surrounding councils, with the unsurprising exception of Knowsley. The only hope for Evertons future inside the city now lies in the hands of a Government call in, if you are against the move and would like to hope increase pressure on those decision makers, please sign this petition: petition Evertons off the field future is very much up in the air right now, and regardless of which way the decision goes it is important it is wrapped up quickly.

  10. this is on KEIOC website Wednesday, 01 October 2008 We have received a number of enquiries from Evertonians in relation to the meeting with Everton Football Club that took place on Tuesday 23rd September 2008. KEIOC would like to confirm that members of the group were in attendance at the meeting but would like to clarify that the group made no presentation during the meeting. The meeting centred around a presentation made by Trevor Skempton and Tom Hughes concerning a brief appraisal of potential alternatives to the proposed Destination Kirkby development and a subsequent discussion ensued over the commercial viability of the redevelopment of Goodison Park and the Scotland Road Loop Site. The discussions were amicable and KEIOC are encouraged by the initiative shown by the club to facilitate such a meeting and hope that further dialogue will be continued after the public inquiry. The club was represented by Robert Elstone (Acting CEO), Alan Bowen (Stadium Operations) and Ian Ross (PR & External Affairs) with consultants David Keirle (KSS) and Chris Potts (Savills), who are already committed to the Destination Kirkby proposals, providing the club with their professional opinion. Unfortunately, in the absence of a detailed business plan, the club do not see a viable alternative to the Destination Kirkby project at this present time, however it was clear that this does not mean that the club would dismiss potential alternatives to Kirkby, if deliverable, in the future. KEIOC believe that the club must free itself of the restrictive exclusivity deal that is preventing other interested parties from committing resources to put in place a fully researched, costed and developed business proposal to rival that currently on offer at Kirkby. KEIOC believe that the club must take a proactive lead to engage with interested third parties to ensure that other opportunities are thoroughly investigated. Having observed Trevor Skempton's presentation and listened to the response of the clubs consultants; KEIOC would like to confirm its intention to provide details to the public inquiry that will challenge the findings of the club and their advisors. It is KEIOC's intention to demonstrate that alternatives to the Destination Kirkby scheme are both technically possible and financially viable.
  11. EDIT -- I've just seen Licker's post.. If you want to discuss it, then lets all go to to a thread created solely for the purpose what is the point we know nothing anyway. members seem to be getting upset by my comments so i will call it a day and aplogise to the forum back moyes and the boys thescore
  12. There were plans for a second EGM that were for non-stadium issues but it was never expected to be a weekly event and it's a rumour that has been peddled by the likes of yourselves. I posted the the details of the second EGM in another post, feel free to look at it. rumours peddled by the likes of yourselves look i only go on this forum because it is a good one and i dont start rumours maybe its you that starts the rumours.
  13. keioc potential alternatives but no business plan quality.
  14. There is so many groups involved in the new ground move who all voice there views and all quote different figures which they are all entitled to do so but in fact it is turning into major mess. The fans and the team and the manager are all getting court up in, this is not good for everton football club. What i am saying calling EGM in the middle of preseason when we should have been looking to bring players in, has added to the mess moyes and the boys are in now.
  15. i think the ground move and who is to blame is a whole new debate but calling EGM every week in the middle of preseason takes up time especialy when you are looking for new players.
  16. this is not all moyes fault i think the board and the share holders must take some responsibilty. if the board and the shareholders weren't fighting about this new ground and calling EGM every week then maybe we might have got all the players we needed and not last minute buys on deadline day as moyes has said it will take 6 to 8 weeks to settle in new players. i dont think a new manager would be a good idea, we have no investment and the board have put all its egg in one basket for this new ground. I say back moyes and the boys this will come good.
  17. at the moment not much is happening in the transfer market 4 the big clubs. i think the big 4 will set the bench mark for fees this summer if liverpool pay the 18m for barry then i think things mite get silly and make it difficult for those below. how many big signings do we need and what players i really cant see that much in the prem as moyes likes to buy british.
  18. everton would not sign giberto anyway main reason anyone over the age of thirty get offered a 1 year contract. most of these transfer fees beening quoted are complete bullshit 18 m for barry 15 m for bentley 79 m for kaka 13 m downing if barry and bentley are worth that much what is the yak worth. I think we should go for milner and giles barnes if the price is right also get manny asap we only get the best out of him for 5 or 6 games and the rest trying to get fit a good pre-season would work wonders we also need a right back but cant see anyone in the prem who i would like to see in a blue shirt
  19. cut is bollocks off as well. people like should not be able to reproduce
  20. moyes has done the right thing shut up shop on incidents like this. but it is in full view for the press to make a big thing out of it. next we will be in the press because yak met keegan and he going to newcastle for 30m.( bulllllllllllllllllll shit) As long as we have him back and he starts scoreing and keeps us above the red shite that will do for me. so all this talk about him going in the summer must stop
