Big game, nervous after Cardiff got that huge win against Man City last week. We need to make sure they don't get an early goal, otherwise we might be in trouble. Hoping we can get our first win today.

A bit nervous about this fixture, but I feel this way only because it's our first official game. Will we see the Everton side that played against Juventus, or the one that played against Betis? Will we shake off the slogan of us being slow starters (last year being the exception) with RM leading the charge? Who will RM deem as the starters for this game and what formation will we use? So many questions, but I will say that I can't wait to have to wake up at 6 am again to watch Everton play football

Disappointed with our passing at times, but I'm very optimistic. Jela scored, Barkley had some good passes, Deulofeu is just great. I'm looking forward to the start of the season.

Like I've said, I am very high on Deulofeu. Hope he starts our last preseason game against Milan/Chelsea.

A bit disheartened that I'm not at this game (The one summer I'm not home ugh). I've been texting with friends of mine that are Madrid fans that are at the game and they have been impressed by what Everton have had to show. They feel that we are very unlucky to not have a goal and feel that a couple of bad decisions by our part has led us to be down by 2. After telling them that this is not the style of play we will be playing this year (not with RM at the helm now) and that this is a pretty different lineup than the last one we played, they said that we should have a great year at the BPL. Hoping some subs are made and we really give this game a go.

Gotta add Mirallas to that. But that chip penalty by Stones just left me speechless. Don't know if the other channels did it, but my channel showed some little girls rooting for Everton going crazy with happiness after Stones' penalty. Similar reaction to mine
