  1. Jelavic needed to nod that to Mirallas, like he did for Naismith. Looks like we survived the eye of the storm, now we need to compose ourselves.
  2. I think you crush any remaining confidence Jelavic has if you sub him out now. I'd say give him another 15-20 minutes.
  3. Love what I'm seeing from Barry and... Naismith out of all people. A bit fortunate to have the lead, now we need to carry on and stop giving the ball away at the midfield (cough Osman cough)
  4. I'm guessing Mirallas goes up if something happenes to Jela? I'm happy that Barry is starting but a bit nervous for this one.
  5. Reiterated numerous times in the thread, but some friends of mine that are City fans have assured me that we are getting a player with an engine that will be consistent for us. Will always be picking out a good pass or be putting in a key tackle but will lie in the shadows because he is not a flashy player.
  6. I really like this year's 3rd kit, last year's away kit, and the 09-10 black one with pink stripes. A bit off topic but does anyone living in the states know of a site where I can buy old kits, I'd love to have a couple that I can wear.
  7. I am on the "bring him in as a super sub" boat. His explosiveness and ability to play on the ball is great, but I'm not sure if it will be really effective against a fresh Chelsea that played great against Bayern. I say, bring him in after about 60 minutes after Chelsea has tired, and then he will hopefully have his way against a gassed Cole/Ramires.
  8. Yeah, a friend of mine calls Orozco "a young talent". Needless to say, he has always played like shit everytime he plays for the US. Surely Timmy Chandler couldn't have done worst.
  9. While I'd love to give love to Oviedo (and he had a pretty good game) the US's RM and RB were terrible defensively. I wanted to kick the RB's ass for allowing run after run of Costa Rica players on the flank.
  10. I am finally letting all this soak in. Having only been an Everton fan a relatively short time compared to some of you (going on 4 years now), I had never really paid attention to the transfer window. There were always talks of bringing players in but relatively speaking, I was always left disappointed with the players we brought in. This year however, wow! We got a striker that is both young and has a track record of putting the ball in the back of the net (I like Jela, but 1 goal in 25 games is just...). Barry on loan gives us a great chance to evaluate his talent and if he is good enough, we can sign him on a free during the summer. Finally, McCarthy is a young midfielder that is very talented and will only continue to improve and get better working with RM. Not to mention Deulofeu and him possibly staying past this seaon, who I've been very high on since the beginning. Never been this pleased after a transfer window.
  11. Not happy in the slightest bit. Actually disgusted that we haven't won at least one of these past 3 games. Not looking forward to playing Chelsea, they looked darn good against Bayern yesterday.
  12. Someone make the bloody run.... Please!
  13. Thank you Gerard Take a shot
  14. Why didn't Baines take the shot there. We need shots on target, can't score if we don't do that. Edit: After the slip of course.
  15. Against this side? We go for it. I'll flip a switch if I see Heitinga in this game somehow. Bring on Gerard, we need a spark... badly.
  16. 1 goal in 25 games for jela... yeah.
  17. Too freaking passive. We're on the break and we always hold the ball. Need to push when they don't have 11 players defending behind the half line.
  18. FFS Jelavic. Kone coming on. Edit: Next dead ball i think.
  19. Bit lucky by Fellaini to not get carded there.
  20. Jela needs to do better there, he used to thrive on passes like that.
  21. I actually think that deflected Jela shot was a handball, but that's besides the point. We need to take the lead, we've dominated possession (which was expected) but have nothing to show for it... AGAIN.
  22. Needless to say, my roommate just walked into my room after I screamed at my scream in sheer frustration.
  23. While I do enjoy the passing and possession, we need shots on target to score goals. Quite frustrated by this right now.
