He's staying and that is that. Why would Everton reject the request if the board "allegedly" asked him to submit one? He played like crap for a lot of today's game and we saw how much he still has to grow. He needs to pick himself up from here, play as great as we know he is capable of doing en route to the euros and after the season, the club will evaluate his status in the club.
As long as he is wearing our blue kit, he will have my 100% backing (and criticism just like any other player). COYB.

Crap I need to leave and pick up my nephew from Pre-K now so I'm probably going to miss the entire extra time. Keep me updated on the forums guys and lets just get through to the next round!

All down to Robles. That area is his domain.
Can't argue with that, he should have been off his line sooner. But if I'm either Stones or Oviedo, I just clear it and get it the fook out of there.
-
If something would have happened during that STONES/Oviedo/Robles mix up... I may have broken something as I tossed it across my room
-
Roms alive now.
I don't think he's been as bad as some have said to be fair.
I was thinking the same thing, although that pass that Naismith tried when Lukaku just stopped running wound me up

It seems as though all the attention has gotten into young John's mind after all. It's sad. I feel a little bit bad for the kid, transfer request or not.
I don't one bit, he will be under a bigger microscope if he has indeed handed in a request and leaves for Chelsea. If he has not, he could have simply come out and said the rumors aren't true, that he is a blue and move on from there.

Well that happened... like watford going ahead all over again

It was vital that we got one back early on in the 2nd half, they seem rattled now
-
What about Jagielka? Yeah Stones jumped over the ball but Jags missed the tackle before that, then stood completely still near post as the cross came in for the second.
Jags hasn't (allegedly) handed in a transfer request less than a week before TDD and left us with no time to find replacements. Plus stones could have cleared that ball before Jags had to try and make that tackle. As for the 2nd, Robles came off his line tentatively like a little kitten.
Jags has been crap but Stones has other things going for him (or against him in this case)

McGeady Cleverley Naismith off
Barkley Deulofeu Kone on
All at halftime. Send some sort of message. Something. Anything
I'd replace one of those with Stones (if he has indeed handed a transfer request). If the "great" John Terry can be taken off, so can Stones for not being good enough
-
We have all known Joel is shite. He was in no man's land for the 1st and the 2nd... I have no words just fuming atm
-
I mean seeing Stones jump over the ball for the 1st goal... how can he not be furious? What is his alternative, coddling the players? "Look boys, we have been unlucky not scoring and you are trying your best defensively. Keep trying out there..." FFS
-
I'd rip Jags and Stones a new arsehole after those two idiotic goals
-
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCKING FUMING RIGHT NOW!!!!!!
-
Defender stretched out his arm, pen to me
-
Stones fault right there... just saying
-
Great cross from Pennington there (although Naismith would have been offside if he had connected)
-
He is also in our starting 11 today. Definitely does not mean that he is staying by any stretch of the imagination but if he would have been out of our lineup, it would have all but meant that he was gone

I actually think the lad has been told to hand in a request. Wouldn't surprise me.It's got history.
I've seen this pop up on twitter but haven't read a thorough explanation as to why the club would ask him to do that. Care to explain it to me haf?

Getting ready to head to the gym and then my phone blows up with a couple of friends of mine who are Chelsea fans saying he's handed a transfer request... fuck my life. Hope for better news when I get back

Don't think we deserved anything from that game. The offside was extremely close (think it was the right call though) and outside lukaku's free kick, we were just not good enough. The subs at the end of the game didn't help either. We didn't try to switch the game up enough either. Bring Barkley deeper so he can get some touches, continue using TC to whip in solid crosses, we looked dead in the water before they scored their 1st goal

I didnt mind Naismith coming on. He is the type of player that can fight and inspire the others to fight just as hard. He gets to much shit IMO. Good little player our Steven.
I don't have a problem with Naismith but as someone posted, he's the right sub to make if we were defending a draw/lead but being down and with Mirallas/Deulofeu on the bench, it's the wrong sub. I thought we somewhat responded the 1st 10 minutes after their first goal but the last 5 mins before their second, we were just gifting them the ball. Disappointing

Lukaku having some poor 1st touches so far... keep it under control lad
