  1. Right, depending out FA Cup outcome. Man, that would be so typical for us. Welp, make it to the finals and it's not even an issue.
  2. Sixth would mean Europe, no? Unless a team like Wigan won the FA Cup.
  3. Don't know why people are throwing in the towel on a CL spot. Granted, it's definitely an uphill battle, but a seven point gap with 11 games remaining isn't a MONUMENTAL deficit. Do I think we'll get in? Probably not. But there's still a realistic hope. I don't think there would be any shame in finishing fifth or six.
  4. Only the best Britain has ever had to offer. Seriously, who would want to fuck with me?
  5. But he's irrelevant in Football Manager, so how good could he REALLY be?
  6. Not that he's in-form or playing flawless, amazing football, but today was basically a microcosm of what has been an absurd season for him. Good work rate, was a hawk in the box, got mauled by an Oldham defender in the box with no call. A few bounces in his favor and he could have had a brace. Truly good players make their own luck but, man, the guy just can't catch a break.
  7. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2013/02/24/cahill-says-donovan-should-embrace-weight-world Not exactly rumor related, but it involves both Donovan and Cahill so I figured some might find it worth reading. Basically, Cahill is, as professionally as possible, telling Donovan to make up his mind and stop being a bitch about it. Either commit to the game or leave it for good.
  8. I think possession shows a lot more about a manager's tactics than the finishing. With Jelavic completely out of form we just don't have anyone who can finish. With no money to spend, what exactly can Moyes do? I'm not expecting Wayne Rooney but this team desperately needs someone who can receive the ball in the final third and consistently put it in the net. That's not going to come through coaching.
  9. I feel gross even voting. That was such a brutal collapse. I gave my vote to Timmy because he bossed the box the entire game, made some good saves, and didn't really have much he could do on the goals. Also, I'm biased. Coleman played a nice game as well.
  10. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1346722/marouane-fellaini-believes-he-is-being-targeted-by-referees?campaign=rss&source=soccernet&cc=5901 Granted, the headline is a little drastic. He more is talking about the fact that he stands out due to the hair and how big he is, and I wouldn't disagree with that much. I think he should realize that he does get a bit out of control at times, though. Still, the headline made me giggle.
  11. Donovan would have to really fuck things up to not be considered a legend in LA. The fans would understand 100% if he left to finish his career in Europe. He's already brought them multiple championships. He's not the player he was 2-3 years ago but he'd still be valuable, talent wise, to Everton. The question for me, as I've stated before on here, is his commitment and motivation. He doesn't even want to play in World Cup Qualifiers right now and is joining the Galaxy late not due particular injuries of note. There's got to be some concern for us as to how much he is committed to the game.
  12. Nobody really stands out, so I'll go with Timmy because he made a few fantastic saves and deserved better. And because I'm biased
  13. "Fellaini Wants Chelsea Move" And then they go on to state that he has three years left on his contract, is happy at Everton, and would prefer to make Champions League with Everton. Exaggerated titles are relatively common in the journalism world and are even preferred by some, but this is just blatant lying.
  14. Like it or not we need his versatility. We don't exactly have loads of depth and that especially holds true with Barkley and Gueye on loan. His ability to fill in at mid and right back is needed. I don't want to see him back as anything more than a substitute on a cheap contract, though, after this season.
  15. As goofy as that shit looks, it's extremely effective. I messed up my hip/thigh pretty badly a long time ago while shooting a ball. Ending up straining my thigh muscle to the point that the tip of my hip bone became detached and every time I attempted to run or kick a ball I would pull up. All three of those dynamic stretches were crucial to getting me back into shape and preventing pulls. Also, is the whole silly walk sketch really that hilarious to British people? When I first saw it I chuckled for the first 10 seconds or so but the way people are laughing in the background the entire time you'd think it was the funniest thing ever.
  16. Oh man, I never knew about the ref calling the game as we were counter attacking. I don't know if that qualifies as Fergie Time but holy shit. Brutal.
  17. Look how young Baines looks in that FA Cup video. Does anyone have video of that game where we scored twice in stoppage time to tie it against Man U?
  18. Agreed, and even if he does have some sort of future in the EPL it won't be with us. Pienaar and Oviedo are certainly ahead of him on the depth charts by a good margin. And Kennedy provides good enough long-term depth. Unless we shockingly sold Baines in the summer and trusted Oviedo as the starting LB I don't see where Gueye's place on the team exists.
  19. Fellaini does indeed deserve to be there twice. Honorable mention to Anichebe.
  20. Why wouldn't we have just made a temporary loan part of the transfer like Stoke did with Butland if that's what we wanted to do?
  21. On loan to France, it seems. I almost had a panic attack when he said an Everton departure.
  22. I like Seamus but let's not pretend he's Roberto Carlos. If Stones turns out to be superior then Coleman can depart. Worst case, we have two solid options.
