  1. blinded by a big name me thinks. more important issues as others have said
  2. why do they have to be big players with big reputations? a reputation isnt gunna win football matches, id rarther have quality players coming in, forget their reputations
  3. was once a very gifted player, if he would have managed to fullfil his potential he could have been great. only andy will know why this didnt happen, there plenty of rumour of why, booze, drugs, women, mental, whatever it was is a shame. i agree a fully fit van der mayde would be one of our better players, but i dont think we will manage to see it. hes got one year left to show something if he still wants to be a footballer this time next year
  4. im with carl that yobo has to be there. but for me, as well as jags has played, lescott everytime. ive heard quite a few people say hes not been great at centre back, but i disagree, i think he has been fantastic every time hes been centre, just as good as when hes been left back imo
  5. i dont think thats the point, traffic is fine. it can just be improved a lot more really
  6. sounds a good idea, with all this green lark im suprised its not been put forward already
  7. for a few games last season i thought so, especially united at home, but after that he seemed to lose his way.
  8. id be made up with gilberto, i know hes in his twilight, but he is still a good player and if we get him for free we can spend the money on another top quality midfielder. get 2 or 3 good years from him
  9. we had to sell, imagine the state we would have been in with out that money coming in. agents:twats
  10. what was it they did to get the points deducted?
  11. big des lynam is a legend! anybody on the bbc seems to get paid to not have a personality! champagne charlie is funny too, and kammy as already said
  12. the staff section is only used when necessary for issues where a pm isnt useful
  13. i agree mate, it does need to be sorted out. but the way the clubs finances are i struggle to see how it could be sorted in any way at all.
  14. in manchester you can park on the roads carl, for a stadium of its size COM is pretty good for congestion due to the whole area being expanded to suit the commonwealth games. they invested heavily for the commonwealth and their concil didnt waste their money like ours have.
  15. ok then, lets say only 14000 people come on the train, its going to take two hours to get them into kirkby as the station in kirkby can only handle 7000 people an hour and they have said it will not be expanded.
  16. yes people live in them homes, some private, some council, some owned by everton. compulary purchase order they call it, they kick you out of your home, normally for a little more than market value. if you dont think thats fair then speak to the residents of kirkby, they dont think its fair either. and Goodison has some of the smallest congestion in the league, especially for a ground of its size. try driving to any of these new grounds with their car parks, then try getting out of them in under tow hours. reebok is a great example, loads of parking, 25000 people cant get out in three hours. youve been getting the train to kirkby for 15 years, nice pleasant journey, stick 50000 people on them trains, you think it can cope? what was the figues, something like 7000 people an hour they can get into kirkby by train. free land and car parks? what free land? they are making kirkby a no parking zone opn match days so you have to use the park and ride systems set up outside the town. yes, ill always complain to keep everton near my local boozer or chippy. i mean after all, i live in st helens now days, it takes me five minutes to get to kirkby, a lot closer than GP. so you can forget thinking im against it because i like my little routine. if you bother to look at the opinions of a lot of evertoninas, it seems the poeple who are happy to believe the hype of the club are al for the move to kirkby. the people who have gone a little deeper and looked at all the aspects of this move are against it. i dont know one person who for the move who is informed of the lack of infastructure, the crazy increase in debt that we will be pushing to the limit (the words of efc not me) the effects of moving a business away from a city centre. kirkby will be suicide.
  17. rolling stones - paint it black & sympathy for the devil
  18. as louis said, no logistical problems, Goodison is already set up for 40000 people, plenty of parkng areas already there. peter johnson had an impressive design to rotate the stadium, but he was out before anything could get moving.
  19. i've heard a few things, people backing Anderson and a few of his plans for the city and efc. nothing concrete so not worth mentioning or i'll go down like a lead balloon again. expand into gwladys street gwladys street school bullens road walton motors muriel street diana street everton own quite a few houses in these streets and the school i think too.
  20. Louis - i didnt mean the loop will be on par with the kings dock, i meant it would have the same constraints as kirkby with regards to congestion, only i think i said that there is more scope for expansion with the loop due to there being plenty more space to increase the roads capacity. i still think the train stations will be packed, but again, not as much as kirkby as there are numerous station in the town centre and close by. i cant see anything but congestion problems with the tunnel on a match day, but thats the only one i think cant be sorted easily enough. to summarise, i do think there would be numerous congestion problems with the loop, but i think more options to recify them and more directions and forms of transport than in kirkby. EDIT: noticed you mentioned Joe Anderson there Louis, heard anything regarding plans for when, i mean if he is elected?
  21. im not with KEIOC or part of anything they do, but i hold lets of respect for what they are doing. im not being blind to one side, ive researched as much as i can, from club spin and keioc spin and even the official docs given to kbc, ive based my opinions on what i believe is best for the club, the opinions of others who have built stadiums i.e croke park, coventrys face of a stadium. the fact that moving away from a growing city is bad for bussiness, the many financial constraints, the bad traffic state in kirkby. as i have stated before, we would hva the same problems with scotland road, but the difference is the city centre can handle the extra congestion and has the space to expand if need be, that is not possible in kirkby, not to this scale anyway.
  22. it can go down like a lead balloon all day, im not here to win popularity contests or to win post of the day. he may have raised funds for productions, he has also hired a man who has raised debts, sold assets and increased loss year on year. good business acumen, im sure.
  23. i dont think i do trust the club anymore. if we keep trusting them to do the right thing we would never have got rid of johnson years ago. we must question them, this is our club. they are there to serve us, the customer as wyness would call us. this man has been trusted with the club, and in recent years we have imporved on the pitch due to good work by dm and the board giving him the money, but to get that money we have got further and further into debt and sold all the clubs assets. scary times ahead i think.
  24. i must be honest, i agree with that.
  25. i believe kenwright does what he thinks is best for the club, but i believe wyness does whats best for wyness. kenwright isnt the bad guy, i just think he employed someone who has not been successfull in business for many years. and as ceo wyness is the man in charge of efc, and that is what worries me more than anything.
