    Not a free if I remember correctly, as BB122 has mentioned it would be "cut price" but hes on 50k wages at the moment (apparently) and I dont want to be spending that kinda dosh on a backup

    He was using the James McCarthy example to show just how much bull shit the betting market is with the odds they put out there... Thus so he was insinuating that you shouldn't read too much into the betting market that you posted...

    RM has been quoted as saying we will get him;

    And Martinez abruptly told supporters the Belgian would be back at Goodison Park next season.

    I don't think he is the type of manager to say something like that unless he had something to back it up.

    Greetings from an incredibly sunny morning in Zante. Scrolled the forum to see nothing much to report in terms of transfers yet again. However, according to Talksport, Martinez has told them that 3 or 4 will be signed this week.

    SSN now running with him returning to Chelsea to fight for his place. Once he returns from his holiday, of course.

    Then it's hardly surprising that they are responding to the speculation of an imminent move which is yet to be announced by claiming that he will be joining them in pre season, with that being the "situation as we [They] speak". If anything it just implies that they are not willing to state anything about any potential departure until it is complete and announced. They are not quashing that he will be signing for us but more saying that they cannot confirm it. That said there may have been some unexpected complications, but again we will just have to wait and see..

    You're right, a rumour without a link to a credible source or article or anything much rather deserved its own thread, it definitely was not more appropriate to place it in perhaps a thread entitled twitter transfer rumours, which is where I believe the 'rumour' derived from. Thus, so I only found it much more fitting to post it in here. Of course, it appears that it may not have crossed your mind that I had simply not seen the separate thread. As it were I didn't, you see I had this thread open on a separate tab as opposed to the whole rumourama section. If I had seen it then perhaps just maybe I might have done something perhaps completely unthinkable to you and not repeated a post. I am truly very sorry. Once I almost immediately realised I had repeated a previous post I sought about ways to remove my post but found myself unable to do so. But, thanks again for being the embodiment of such a not at all patronizing, but instead welcoming user on this forum. It's comments like yours that don't at all discourage one from becoming a regular poster, because obviously everyone loves to be condescended. Obviously this whole post might appear as an overreaction as you may have been attempting to be 'funny', but obviously that doesn't always translate so clearly through the internet, and it was my interpretation that saw your post to be very patronizing..

    Duncan Ferguson might have been scouting Ruben Pardo, 19, CM. €10M release fee and already quite established into the team, a player that Roberto Martinez could develop greatly.

    Just thought I would point out not that it matters that much but Ruben Pardo is 21 not 19... In addition his release clause is to be rumoured 30 million euros not 10 mainly because he signed a new 4 year deal the other month

    Scrub most of what I said above...I thought Newcastle were at home. Cant see Newcastle beating Arsenal at The Emirates.

     

    So, I am getting my head into 5th and the Europa.

    5th still isn't certain I think we will finish there but we still need at least 3 points from the next two games to guarantee it because Tottenham are only three points behind us and they have two easier games but they have a worse goal difference. I think we should finish 5th but if we do an Everton in our last two games and only get a point and tottenham win both of their games again West Ham and Villa does 6th still qualify for europa?
