Martinez is not making a very good impression on me already before even a ball is kicked, considering blowing 6m on Kone is terrible business. Him saying we don't have to go buy Wigan players there is a broader market for players seems like a bunch of bull. Every other club is actually making decent signings whilst our transfer policy's and prospective targets are very underwhelming and certainly will not add much quality to our squad or will help bring the average age down, I would be incredibly disappointed if all we signed was Kone and some other old over priced underwhelming players. There has got to he so many strikers out there why are we going in for Kone just because he wants to come to us and reunite with Martinez? If we do sign Kone and Alcaraz it will be showing a real lack of ambition from the board and our new manager.

Owen Coyle has pretty much confirmed on 5live that Kone will sign for us this week. Not going to lie I DON'T want him he's too old for the money we are paying, Martinez said he wasn't necessarily going to go sign Wigan players and he could be looking at a more broader market? Please tell me where he's been looking because there has got to be some younger better striking options available. Does he not understand we had the second oldest team last season and its not going to get younger buying a 29 year old for 6 million. That's a bloody waste money considering we rarely have money to blow. Can't say I'm that excited about the names being linked with us since Martinez arrival and certainly won't be excited if we do sign Kone. People like Bony would be a much better option he's younger and has sell on value, Kone has none and we won't get our value out of him. He has been crap in all 3 games I've seen him play he has a dreadful first touch and can't finish the simplest of chances that team mates have worked hard to create for this donkey, his decision making is also awful I'm not quite sure he has any other attribute other than his height

The structure and style of play and work ethic of some of the players in the team is just generally dreadful. We were lucky to get a point out of that game we were not good enough and again Ross Barkley was the key man in the team we only really look dangerous when he runs at defenders otherwise there is very little or no attacking outlet. As when Kane has the ball he is wasteful and doesn't have a good enough footballing brain to know when to hold the ball and give it to a played in space also a lot of his shots are just really really bad! Stones played better in the second half and played quite decent at right back. There was very little play through the middle of the park.

Duncan Ferguson and lee Carsley? Both seen watching the England u20 game not much to be impressed or of incredible note worthy. Barkley and stones have been average with Barkley being one of the better players of a bad bunch of first half performances.

Yeah the starting line up has 4 centre midfielders in ward-prowse, coady, barkley and lundstram. Although ross barkley best position is arguably attacking midfielder I'm not sure where he's playing at the moment is he playing left midfield or attacking midfield?

I'm sure Alan Irvine and Alan Stubbs will inform Martinez of his progress and suggest his contract gets renewed plus Martinez will be watching him when he plays in the u20 World Cup. It would be a loss because he's a good prospect and looked good when he played against leyton orient last year

The 4th season doesn't come out to November so you've got time to watch the first 3 seasons. Nobody else would have heard of them it just looked like you got open fifa or football manager put in some young and cheap search parameters, chose a specific position and listed your results. - If I had have put in "cheap", "young" into a 'search parameter', maybe the results wouldn't be good enough for Everton Football Club, as you first suggested in your post.

I can only imagine that you judge a book by its cover? Do you see a player in a pack of stickers and dismiss it because it's not a "shiny"?

 

Some players evolve in a team, others regress. Some players have individual qualities that make them stand out, others need people around them to truely show their quality.

 

I know of those players by watching football. Actual football. Not Match of the day. Not reading what The S*n says. Not listening to Internet warriors. But by actually watching football. I'm sad, I like football...more than I should. Do to keep an open mind, I watch random leagues/games/tournaments? Sometimes I read an article on a particular player, not heard of them before so guess what...? I watch them. Form my own opinion.

 

What I gave above were cheap options, squad fillers, young lads who given the right training and coaching, could be more than even I've given them credit for. They could (holy fuck would you Adam and eve it) play football shock fucking horror! Stop me now.

 

They wouldn't waltz into Our first team lineup, but how do you know? How did Moyes know that when he bought mr Cahill, that he would get that sort of goal return, from a player he bought from a league 1 team? Guess what (again)...he didn't. You see, I've just highlighted just a few examples of people that I've watched/seen play football. Some have been world beaters for their respective teams, tekkers and guile that I could only dream about, whereas on the other hand, some of them are always consistent, continually running and making tackles and intercepting shots and passes and doing all the shitty bits that noone gives two fooking hoots about...bar me and football professionals.

 

So to summarise...I don't know that they'll be good enough but not do you, because you've had one "quick glance" at their transfermarkt profile and they're just. Not. Good. Enough.
