  1. Definately - he should have come on much sooner to give the Wigan defence something to think about. Anichebe came on and the impact was instant - a penalty after he was given the ball, held it up in the area and good old unsie lent across him for no reason. After that he kept wigan on the back foot because we pumped the ball up to him and everytime he got infront of his man and held it up. It was good to watch and you can't ask for more apart from a goal. Beattie came on (81st min i think) and almost had the same effect. I know Neville's cross was first class but Beattie did the hard work to get that ball out to the wing just behind the defence for Neville to run on to and one touch cross! Beattie looked strong and fit - He should have been on sooner in my opinion.
  2. I was at the Wigan game on Sunday - and it was terrible. Not worth watching - although the result was great and inspired by the hard work of ANichebe - and Beattie. Okay - BT only came on in the last 10 - but he did the hard work that got the ball out to Neville for the cross that led to the 2nd goal. He does that alot - but he gets little credit for it because he aint scoring goals. I think that he is going to turn the corner - he is looking fit and lean. I want him to be good - because he can be deadly on his day!
  3. I'm sorry to put the cat amongst the pigeons - but I'm not that impressed. He was great in Europe - but he aint really impressed at Pompey (although redknapp tried to sign him but thought the £7m price tag was too much!) At least its a signing!
  4. Done - typical redshite norwegian - how can he be fan of the month...he aint even from England... shite - and its typical shite! Come on Peter - fan of the month!
  5. I can't understand why they dont just admit the truth... did no one learn from the Paul Merson mistakes. Arsenal kept his alcoholism under wraps for years - with fake stories about injury and illness. Then they realised it had to come out into the open - he is an alcoholic. As soon as they told the world, Merson admitted it (along with Cocaine) and was admitted to the rehab centre - where he cleaned himself up. Although no doubt Merson has had the odd lapse or two, he's a much better person for it and when he came out of rehab - he was back to his old playing ways - superb player. Why dont they do the same with VDM. No one can be injured for this length of time. If he is an alcoholic, then why didn't the medical show it up - why didn't Inter tell us about it...? Or did they, and Moyes took the chance anyway? This guy is never out of the albert dock. He drinks way too much and it is effecting his playing career - He isn't fit because his body can probably not take the stresses of training - if he is an alcoholic. I say come clean, admit to the situation and succumb to fan pressure and put him in rehab once and for all.
  6. Its irrelevant - you cant swear at a referee in the best of circumstances and you certainly can not use foul language to describe a decision he has or hasn't made. So whether he called him a cheat or said it was fucking shit is not the issue - Faddy should know better really! APart from that...Poll did engineer our defeat. We had no chance - not only with ten men but the gunners had a twelth man in the form of the referee. He may have pulled them up for the really dirty challenges but they got away with everything else - and we didn't. Every aerial challenge that was slighty questionable - we got pulled they never. Every 50/50 - we got pulled, they never. Every shout for hand ball - we got pulled, they never. Poll - or is it liverpoll - he hates us, we hate him. He apparently hates chelsea, they hate him. He fooked up last night. He fooked up at the world cup. Its time to go....
  7. 21 shots - but how many on target. ANyone can shoot from outside the box - anyone can shoot wide. ANyone can pass a ball to their own defence. Any one can pass through and around their defence. the stats mean nothing when you have been beaten...er...destroyed... Jeez - go to any sunday league game -anywhere in the world (even India) and you will see 100 shots a game from as far out as the half way line - but they dont go in and therefore dont reflect ANYTHING from the game... RS fans - time to take it on the chin...you got done by the better team on the day. its as simple ans easy to understand as that. - it really is!
  8. Have to agree Rob - he did dally and dither in the transfer market - as though he was scared of signing a flop - or was severely warned not to waste the money...or simply he couldn't make his mind up. Either way he dithered... But this year - he took the bull by the horns, got his players early and got them training with the team at the start of the pre-season. Couldn't really ask for more. Signed Lescott - who made an in form england international (er...crouch, apparently) look very average and then kept a dutch international at bay in the same game... Howard - already making some fantastic saves and commands his box well - good at catching the ball as well (reina should watch and learn....hahaha) AJ - need I say more.
  9. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...rnational+break well - mr master tactician... we had AJ Phil Neville Simon Davies David Weir James McFadden (who was injured whilst playing international football) Gary Naysmith Kevin Kilbane (sort of) Lee Carsley And it aint as though the RS internationals had hard games....andorra, Northern Ireland (For Reina and Alonso), macedonia...didn't even have to travel far... You had: Stevie Me Crouch the slouch Bellamy (who didn't play in the derby) Alonso Reina garcia I hate excuses - I really do. Just take it on the chin like everyone else has to. If the shoe was on the other foot - we would be getting told how bitter we are towards their success.... But once again, as when we finished 4th (you remember, when the RS lost 4th - we didn't win it!), they are showing their true colours and bitterness towards other teams doing well... They criticised Man Utd when they dominated. They criticised Arsenal when they dominated and they criticise Chelsea now... THey say we dont matter to them - just a nother game, but there isn't a RS fan in sight that hasn't got a hat full of excuses as to why they got stuffed at the weekend and hopefully will get stuffed tonight...
  10. My opinion is this... If his arm was pulled into his side (and not being used as a brake to stop him sliding off the pitch) - it would still have hit his body/arm. because it hits him around his armpit - and that would never be given....would it? Anyone remember Watford... But its a case of, would the shite have scored - I'm afraid not. Which is probably why G Poll never gave the penalty - i mean, this is the same referee that waved his fist in the air at the derby last year when Stevie Me scored... It was only an even game when Riise went off - then it was 11 v 11 - not 11 v 12.... The RS can come up with every excuse in the book- fact is this...3-0 to the blue half.
  11. No RS fan can make excuses there were far too many wrong decisions made. Any team (Sunderland, watford etc) can keep hold of the ball and pass it around the back four. Any team can shoot from outside the box - sunday league teams do it every week. It bares no reflection on the game. Opta stats show that the RS had a staggering 21 shots...so what? Any one can shoot from anywhere...it means nothing... You were crap - the only player that did anything or looked sharp was Sissoko and Rafa (the master tactician) subbed him... He also played Fowler from the start....hmm....
  12. How can anyone say that poll didn't give the RS a thing? Every 50/50 - every challenged header - all went RS's way. Even when Fowler shoved Yobo off the ball - when Neville put one of the best challenges in against Sissoko When Sissoko fell on the ball and stayed on top of it.... but the RS got nothing... fuck off wankers
  13. My phone is the new sony ericsson K800i (3.2mp camera). I have the spinning Everton logo as my wallpaper - but I seen a guy at the Watford game and his Menu list, when selecting somehing had a small spinning efc logo and every menu page had a efc picture etc.etc. I just though that there may have been a theme site already out there that had an efc theme. I have downloaded the Ericsson theme creator software so if you could knock up some pics, that would be great.
  14. does anyone know where to get a good efc theme from for my mobile..? Tried a few places but there shite!
  15. Midfield was awful. Davies is second rate I'm afraid. So much for all the reports about him being in form...crap... Osman would have done a much better job. Plus osman gets forward meaning that Cahill and Arteta can hold the middle of the park... becuase Davies doesn't get forward enough, Cahill and Arteta were drifting forward - leaving massive gaps in the midfield. Ok - we won and no one is happier than me about that...but performance wise - alls I can say is - thank god that they were shite! Howard - 9/10 impressive Neville - 7/10 average at best at RB Stubbs - 8/10 evertonian Yobo - 8/10 solid Valente - 7/10 exposed a bit by Artetas wandering - struggled with a knock but nothing got past him Arteta - 6/10 took a good peno but thats all he did Cahill - 6/10 looked a little lost to me Davies - 5/10 - garbage Carsley - 7/10 - played in defence most of the game to help with the Watford long ball! Johnson 9/10 (my man of the match - and not for his goal - for his workrate) Beattie 8/10 - slated by some but he is going to look slow against AJ - worked hard and the partnership worked for the first goal - cant ask for more than that. Missed a howler that AJ feed through to him... McFadden - 6/10 didn't really make a difference Lescott - 6/10 - Left back for valente - was a little lost - it was his man that he lost that lead to their goal - he was in the CB position and must have 'forgot' that he was playing LB. Anichebe - 6/10 - didn't get the ball much. Needs to be a little stronger when holding defenders off. Gutted that VDM wasn't even on the bench. Osman should have seen the park well before McFadden (IMO) Howard - gives me confidence to know that he is a solid keeper.
  16. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0400eve...-name_page.html Lads- click on the links in the story (after the picture of the dog) to see his Ferrari getting smashed up!!! Gutted!!
  17. I've stood in the Gwladys st (when seats where reserved for the rich and those who thought they where rich (or disabled!))....in 85 when we used to win stuff. I was only a wee lad but fuck the atmosphere was electric - not sure if I was ever involved in a crowd over 50,000 but would like to know... Goodison is a fortress - football rules the world!!!
  18. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0400eve...-name_page.html OK - enough is enough - return the guys dog... he can replace the Jewellery and watches. He can replace the cars - taking the dog is just sad. Some sicko's capitalised on the fact that he was away playing football - thats low enough - stealing a dog though....sick! Somebody out there knows where this dog is - its probably one of one in merseyside so it aint gonna be hard to spot... KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN
  19. http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/06-07/comm...oint/060814.asp We are lucky if we get a full house these days (unless we are playing the RS). I bet they were great days - loads of atmosphere. I bet it was cheap too... so cheap I reckon a few RS fans probably went to both games - RS and EFC - whoever was home that Saturday! Dont happen no more. Taylor report ended massive attendances...but for good safety reasons!
  20. Firstly, Johnson and Beattie are early days - they have certainly started to understand each other. Against Bilbao, BT was trying to knock the ball down to Johnson or hold it up for him to run on to... It didn't quite work but BT was first in after AJ's shot hit the crossbar (good tackle turned it away though). They will 'knit' together - they are seemingly perfect - a strong battler and a pacy menace!! VDM looked good when he came on. Lescott was fantastic - not scared of a tackle at all. The goal was poor - the whole team fell asleep - including most of bilbao - infact the lad that scored had to pinch himself to wake up and shoot... The defence is not a massive problem in my opinion. WE need a young left back but that is it. Moyes played about 17 players - just to give them match fitness - I wouldn't worry about the result. BT only got a half, AJ got an hour. ANichebe didn't really get a touch in any promising positions - marked out of the game really. McFadden - just didn't perform. They aint gonna throw in massive tackles 1 week before the big kick off... My only worry was that Davies, Arteta and Cahill looked ordinary. I hope that they pick themselves up for next week... I would worry more about the midfield than attack and defence... The defence and attack are only as good as the support they receive....
  21. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...new+Rooney+deal This is some of the best news for us - - If he signs another deal at United, we get a load of cash - it was part of the deal... we get (not sure how much) paid if he signs a further deal... Its about time we got the cash we deserve from this little runt!!
  22. AS if Everton are going to send anything via first class post. They already have your money - you aint gonna get a good, quick service!!
