  1. Just read that we only got 2 million for Kroldrup don't know whether that's true but if it is that's one huge loss. nothing unusual about that. we sold jeffers to arsenal for about 10 mill!!!! what did they get for him?
  2. Dont believe for a second that the above players would'nt scarper at the first sign of a big club coming for them. Everton are a big club and if anyone doesnt recognise the potential here they are of no use to us. that includes so-called fans.
  3. We'll probably get beat next week and the sky will be falling in again. weve got chelsea nx week and we usually play well against them. they were lucky to get a draw out of us. a win would be a fantastic result and really restore moral in the side.
  4. we've had bellyachers calling for the managers head and grumbling about the board and the players, but as many of us who kept the faith said at the time the side would come good. most of us would be happy with a top 10 finish this season and right now thats looking more than likely. well done moysey and the lads. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
  5. Ive said many times BT should not have been signed last january, the transfer windows make signing a lot harder. bt, (like koldrup), was injured when signed. but what can you do? you can't choose when to sign a player. it makes the risk much greater. i think a little more flexibility is needed. also the january transfer window seems particularly risky. clubs are very reluctant to let their best players go in the middle of a season.
  6. ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. GIVE PEACE A CHANCE. IMAGINE ALL THE PEOPLE SHARING ALL THE WORLD. WHO SAID THAT?
  7. again we proved that we can take on the best and give them the runaround. bt should have got his 2nd goal tho. it was a sitter and he's missed too many like that. he was too casual about it. maybe he tries too hard not to choke in front of goal and that makes him overly casual. he'll never regain his england place until he stop missing those sitters.
  8. the summer is the time to get some fresh meat. the january sales didnt have much on offer. koldrup never really had a chance to settle. he was injured when we bought him and that must make it hard for a player to get into the squad. the transfer windows makes it hard on a manager. he has to buy at a certain time and if the player he wants is injured that makes the decision even riskier than usual. altho the squad is small we have players that we need to replace. pistone and stubbs are obviously just stop gaps. they are both seasoned pros and can do what is expected of them. but in the long term we've gotta let the non-producers go and get in some good quality, younger pros with a future and the possibility of improvement with experience.
  9. Martyn & Pistone I guess. what about Lie Tie? we arent exactly short of midfielders and we dont use his sponsors anymore! Koldrup & Ferrari will probably go. I reckon Duncs days are over, altho he still seems to be in demand elsewhere. if McFadden fails to score whats the point of keeping him? Lee Carsleys 32? is he reaching the end of his use by date? I definitely think that the summer time will be the time to have a clear out. <_<
  10. dunc hasnt had a good season. his premiership days are done.
  11. he had a great season last season and justified another years contract. we owe him a lot for that! the best of luck to him whatever he decides.
  12. but what we have is what moysey has bought and paid for. the lack of consistency is disappointing. we should be doing better than that. i still think that moysey's up to the job and that we should give him time to organise his side. he has a lot of new signings to integrate into a team but thats his job. i hope he can do it. ether way i reckon he's got until the end of january to get us into the middle of the table. if we are still in the same position then, well, i think the board will have to start thinking about his future.
  13. mcfaddens goal was incredible. i still dont know how he squeezed it past the goalie from that angle.
  14. couldnt watch the match it started at midnight here. read the reports and its seems that wright played well. is he good enough?
  15. another 3 points, this time away to blackburn. good work by moyes and the boys.
  16. mourinho is right. we are too good to be where we are at present. we are on our way up and i expect us to keep heading that way. moysies future is secure at at least until the end of january. if we are in the relegation zone then -- his days are numbered. but i dont think we will be. i believe hes a talented manager and he's getting a good side together.
  17. yeah. weve gotta get some consistency intothe games from now on. the lads looked great in the 2nd half and we should have had 2 more goals, 1 from cahill and 1 from bt. they should have gotta penalty but weve been there. last week a penalty was given against us from outside the area. swings and roundabouts! but a much better game and Everton looked threatening, creating good chances. if moysey can keep this up we should move up to the top half of the table by xmas. if he can't, well i reckon the board will give him to the new year to get the sqad into shape, or else!
  18. a hard fought match. we should have had 3. bt missed a sitter. still we get 3 points. so dissappointing for the moaners and groaners but Everton are looking more like winners.[/B]
  19. Johnson of crystal palace may be a good striker to get. we tried to get him but palace managed to hold onto him after relegation. they dont look like coming up again so he may be interested in a change by january.
  20. keane is no longer a premier quality player. he hasnt been for some time. talk of siging him is crazy.
  21. Does anyone think I enjoy having to endure this endless misery we are all going through? I suspect you do. your always moaning. and youve got no idea what your talking about. in fact yove got no ideas, full stop! a fan that bellyaches everytime his team goes thru a bad patch is no good to anyone. why you dont you go for a long swim up the mersey and out into the atlantic.
  22. You are simply just all running for cover now coz i am winning the Everton/Liverpool debate there is no Everton/lpool debate. this board isnt interested in lpool! grow up!
  23. agreed. we have to get more consistency into our game. and that means that the players have to be played in their strongest positions. you can't keep chopping and changing. its not fair for them and its not working for us. did bt get the supply he needs and did he get into positions to score goals from?
