I think Harrison is the difference (and Bournemouth are v poor).
not saying others haven't played well, the bloody have...but we've played Onana/Garner/Doucs in this shape before and it's been ineffective.
we needed all the pieces (Harrison, Fit DCL etc)

Good grief...we are churning out some great chances here.
-
This is our "Brighton game" from last year...we are just on it.

We don’t get coached properly as per last weeks defending from set pieces
Ah that must be why we couldn't score earlier in the season...they weren't coached in shooting/finishing.

What the hell where Garner and McNeil doing for that freekick. We moved the ball more central making it even harder to do anything useful with it?
Schoolboy stuff.
I swear we don't practice taking free kicks or defending corners. Only explanation.

Garner and branthwaite may agree….both players should have been in way sooner than they were - they are 21.
McNeil and Onana are 22/23. Hardly kids. How is young preferred over Patterson? Help me out here.
Onana and Patterson were born 2 months apart. So are they both kids or not kids??

Very disappointing result.
First half we were the better team and created plenty of chances, despite conceding two shocking goals from set pieces.
Second half we never really threatened their goal but neither did they.
The changes we made did didly squat and if anything we just stifled our attacking play.
I thought the centre backs did well. Young was solid. Mykolenko was really poor.
The midfield worked well enough first half. It didnt fire second half.
McNeil and Garner were causing problems in the first half, both should have scored. Both were poor second half.
Dom snatched at a lot.
Harrison, Danjuma and Beto didn't really bring a lot to the game.
That was a hard one to take. You just can't drop any points to Luton. You just can't. For all the progress I think Dyche has made, results like this just aren't good enough.
I thought Harrison grew in to the game showed good attacking intent...Beto....not sure what to say...he plays like bakayoko to me...just running full pelt everywhere and will smash one in every now and then...but not sure if the quality there?#juryout.

Disgusting. Got his favourites it’s as simple as that. Young is finished, Gana can’t pass or shoot.
As soon as Luton went to 2-0 it was near impossible, they had something to defend.
I'll need to look at the stats and watch the fame again but I thought gana was brilliant. His shooting is shocking...no argument there but I thought he and Onana controlled the middle first half.

Beto is doing my head and now I'm thinking he only looked good against Donny!

-
Myko man. I'd rather we played young and Patterson.
-
Myko slows us down so much. His control is not good enough.
Harrison crossing hasn't been up to much either. Garners was better

We are def not exerting the pressure we were first half. Very scrappy this. Needs another change.

We ain’t now. Every time we concede a corner we look vulnerable
Agreed but you made it sound like a dyche issue - so just pointing out that dyche installed one of the best set pieces defenses.

You mean we are conceding from set pieces - again. Dyche…. Again.
We were actually among the best in the league last season at defending set pieces.

Gana and Doucoure off Garner moved to middle Harrison on wide right and Dobbin on for Doucoure, and let’s attack the fuck out of them with more quality on the pitch.
I'd rather see Danjuma for doucs...def get Harrison on

In open play we should be a good couple of goals to the good.
From set pieces we should be a couple of goals down.
We aren't playing badly at all, we have just royally fucked up from set pieces and the biggest culprit is Mykolenko. He started the game quite well though and has been helpful to McNeil in giving him space to play.
I am worried about width as McNeil and Garner are playing very narrowly but our best moments are going through them. I can see us creating enough chances to be level by 60mins.
If we arent then we must get genuine width onto the pitch. Gueye is important at sweeping up but Onana has a lot more to his game to take over that role and let Garner play more centrally.
I was about to say McNeil has been more like in doucs position last 20 mins of the half

Beto & DCL up front together should have been a formality today, Dyche needs to bring them on second half to save face.
Got United fans sending me WhatsApp's laughing their heads off, we're that bad!
Assuming it's Man Utd and not the toon....it's a bit pot - kettle that mind...yes we are still shitter than them but expectations are different and they spend 200M on wages and are still shit
-
Garner is playing very well.
-
Get in. Some luck for once
-
Why is doucs going with his left foot...hit it with his right and it was in without DCL

I'd love to see Onana get a goal. Think his all round play has deserved one. He's tracked back and stuck a foot in, he's broken forward and he's had somE good chances on goal.
