  1. But it looks like Kagawa will be part of a swap for Arda Turan.
  2. It looks like Zaha is on van Gaal's "for sale" list. I would have considered Hernandez, but it looks like he and Kagawa are off to Spain.
  3. Could we ask Jagielka to change his name by deed poll to Plagielka? That would solve the principal problem with this layout.
  4. And I can still remember many of the hymn numbers from school assemblies in the 60s. In total, there were 172 of them in the book, the last being the national anthem.
  5. My goodness, even I remember this character from when my mother watched Coronation Street in the 60s. Still going, apparently. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emily_Bishop
  6. Ahh!! That makes sense. I had completely misinterpreted.
  7. I was quoting Arsene Wenger from the BBC article: "At the moment the players they sign cannot play until next year so they will register them in the other clubs and can get out on loan" http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28635053
  8. Glad you're back. The season begins in less than two weeks, so get ready for an exciting ride.
  9. Arsene Wenger is questioning this deal, and I think he has a point. Due to FInancial Fair Play penalties, City cannot field new players until next year. So what do they do? They buy a team in the US, have that team buy a player, and then take the player on loan. It's a neat little trick, isn't it?
  10. ...and how passion and disagreements, encountered in many threads here, can always be addressed with a little humour.
  11. With Galloway having just signed, we're well stocked already at the back - both now and in the future.
  12. Shaved 'em just this morning. Rule #1 of wearing a Celtic kilt...
  13. Especially after the last few posts. How about you post 49 really nice, pleasant messages.
  14. I've just thought of a way to win Ben back. Institute a new rule: No Nebraskans welcome here! (That's Oklahoman for "no Kopites allowed".)
  15. True, but their motivations are probably different. Goodness comes in all shapes and sizes, that's for sure.
  16. Hey Ben. The water's fine, jump right in.
  17. Seems you have enough trouble just with English.
  18. The current dialogue reminds me of a pratt who really wanted to join a discussion forum for pratts. He received the cursory nod and then had to put up with a rant: "I don't know how you can consider yourself a proper pratt. I've been a pratt since birth, so no one can doubt that I'm a right dumb-ass. You come waltzing in here, believing you have the right to be a complete pratt..." but maybe that's for another time. Let me just double-check I'm in the right place... Yup: This is the place for thinking Evertonians. I think you're confused and should stop by www.born-a-pratt-always-a-pratt.com.
  19. In Cornwall, we don't like to rush things.
  20. After all your faith bashing , I'm going to sing the praises of Christian friends of mine. Despite having two biological children of their own, they reached out and adopted a little girl from Eastern Europe who suffers from Down's Syndrome and heart problems. They are a beautiful family and she's a beautiful little girl - and her brothers adore her. Let Dawkins and his kind ponder over that. He always writes that such adopting parents suffer from a virus because it makes no sense. Personally. I'd say such people are special and have the very heart of God.
  21. Oi! One word comes to mind: Bodmin.
  22. Can you blame him given the ire directed in his direction - intentional or otherwise? You can never undo first impressions. I do hope he sticks around, though.
